Hi I’m in the UK and on week 6 of my Mounjaro journey. I discovered your channel and I just wanted to thank you for such informative content. I feel so much better and able to succeed because of the knowledge I take from every one of your videos . Thank you 😊

I am on my 2nd ever ZEPBOUND 2.5 dose. I appreciate you lingering in the produce department and giving us good choices. It is such an advantage getting your advice and guidance as I start out. I already eat pretty well, but know I can do better. Please continue to do these videos. There are so many videos out there now. Your communication with us is super understandable and highly relatable. I was wondering about trail mix and nuts and if I have to give them up to go on this journey. You even addressed that. Thank you.

Thank you so much for the info and explanations. I’m glad that you spoke about peppers, I watched a video from another Dr who said that peppers were considered a night shade veggie and to avoid them especially when on glp1. I had stopped eating them for a while because my weight loss has slowed on Ozempic and he left me with the impression that all night shade veggies should be avoided but man I love peppers and have had difficulty finding something to replace them so that I can have a better variety of veggies in my diet. So I’m going out to buy some tomorrow. 😊 Appreciate all the info that you share, my dr is good with writing the script for Ozempic but provides no other support - so I’m on my own but down 83 lbs so I am doing something right! Thanks again!

nightshades like peppers, chilli, eggplants, tomatoes, potatoes and sweet potatoes MAY cause digestion problems in some people. If you have problems like heartburn, sulfur burps, cramps, diarrhea after eating nightshades and this happens repeatedly then you better not eat them. Same is true for the cauliflower, brokkoli, romanesco, cabbage … as well as peas, lentils and beans: if you notice that they cause you flatulence, sulfur burps or other digestive problems, you better not eat them while on glp-1 agonists. In the end, each of us has to find out which food is good for us individually and what to avoid.

We start every morning with overnight chai oats with yogurt berries and some granola sprinkled in. It feels like a great start to the day. It’s a little high in carbs and natural sugars but eating it in the morning we have plenty of time to work it off. I find when I start my day with this come lunch time I’m really not hungry so I will have a protein shake. I’m on week 2 of ozempic and although my official scale check is tomorrow I’m down about 4 lbs.

Can you recommend a protein pasta brand you like?
@margoquintana22834 ай бұрын
@kishwoodward756 haven't found one yet. Tried chicken pea pasta. Nobody liked it at all. Best option for me is a whole grain l, light brown color. Somewhat nutty taste and slightly chewy, giving it the Al dente texture I prefer. Lower on the glycemic scale, so spikes BG less That said, it is as caloric as most all pasta products. That's why I only cook a small amount about once a month, with a pesto & dry parmesan topping or classic red sauce made of grass-fed, no antibiotic ground beef and herbs.
@jmgirard74 ай бұрын
@@kishwoodward756 Barilla's Protein+ pasta is delicious. The texture is like a cross between regular and whole grain pasta and the tastes very similar to regular pasta. I had tried Banza chickpea pasta and hated the taste and texture.
