The FL Studio plug-ins are unique because of the visuals they provide, so I appreciate you referencing the visuals to explain the point of using all of them. IMO the visual element is super helpful for understanding what it's doing. Learning how to do the masterting from scratch is much more helpful than a fancy plugin with a catch-all preset for me bc those never work with my voice. Managed to get something sounding nice using this tutorial. Great stuff!

@OzgunOfficialАй бұрын
If you wanna get a bit louder, make sure you clip your buses in the mix. Try not to send Maximus much peaks. If you handle them in the mix, then you'll be able to boost more post gain with the Maximus.

@OzgunOfficial Жыл бұрын
Masterdan kisinca tüm zincirin en sonundan kısıyor. Ama balance ile yaparsan zincirin daha öncesine müdahale edebiliyorsun. yani "master" eklenen pluginlerin sonundan kısıyor.

Very good and helpful video! When i use SPAN after following your tutorial i reached around -12 RMS, if i boosted it to -7 it sounded completely distorted, is that because i maybe missed a step you went through or does it have to do with my sounds being to loud? Ty
@mikesaintjulesmusic Жыл бұрын
Depends on how you gain staged your channels. It's possible something is too loud. How loud is your kick?

Hey Ozgun, i dont know if youll see this but I just have a problem with the glue compression stage with the fruity limiter, every time i add the limiter its instantly compressing my song without me even moving the ratio or threshold so its way quieter than it should be. Is there anything i could be possibly doing wrong? Let Me Know Thanks
@kzza89075 ай бұрын
To clarify as soon as i add the limiter the sound waves basically are engulfed in purple

You can out a Fruity Balance before the limiter and reduce the volume a bit. Probably your mix is too loud.

I'm wondering who this tutorial is actually for, tbh because you've clearly missed the point. People watching this video aren't mastering for venues or clubs directly. They master so they can upload their track to Spotify, KZbin, and other streaming platforms. Meanwhile, you show them how to make their master peak at 0db and land at single digit values lufs whise. Meanwhile, Spotify (and most other platforms) specifically asks for -14 lufs integrated with a TP of -1db. All this maximising on top of generalised compression will do, especially for beginners who still make the mistake of mixing into a Soft-Clipper, is to create an undynamic wall of sound with no punch or clarity.
@OzgunOfficial6 ай бұрын
Yo mate, thanks for the feedback on the content. As far as I know -14 LUFS is not a big deal. And none of the mastering engineers I know care about it. It's just a standard and if you are more loud than that they'll normalize your track. Which is not a big deal and not gonna effect how your track would sound on the platform. It's just volume. About -1db TP (True Peak). You are right about it. If you upload a track that is peaking at 0db TP, the streaming platform would use a limiter to your track and limit it about 1 db. Which would be pretty transparent since the value is so little. But still you are right, if you wanna keep the dynamic range as same as how you mastered, you should send them at -1db TP. Currently I'm uploading my tracks to Spotify and all other platforms with -0,3db TP. And around -5 LUFS. I had no problems so far. Even labels are usually asking me to keep my masters at -0,3db TP when I sign my tracks with them.
