I've been following this group for 30 years. In their current form this is the best video I've ever seen of them. First 2 minutes they all look like guilty spotty 6th formers. After 2 minutes watch the utter skill and prowess these people portray. They are all geniuses

This is my favorite song of all time. Every time I listen to it I hear more of the intricate overlays. If music could be a rainbow, this song is a bright double rainbow! Each one of you are fabulous musicians! Keep them coming please. I was just realizing how rich and strong sounding the bass guitar sounds on this track.

I disagree, with Hawkwind also on the spectrum with a plectrum and certainly stars of an era and ethos amidst the chorus of chaos, sing with a wing and a flair to flow letting go of all they know. Ozric logic is still a thrill to this microscopic topic and visionary vehicle...

@@metaphysicalmigraine694 the problem with Hawkwind for ME is in the lyrics. If they made music and allow the listeners to still enjoy their own thoughts, they would be on par. Everyone has a right to have a different opinion, but I still vote Ozric Tentacles number one. Here is Spirit of the Age for instance: I would've liked you to have been deep frozen too And waiting still as fresh in your flesh for my Return to earth But your father refused to sign the forms to freeze you Let's see you'd be about 60 now, and long dead By the time I return to earth My time held dreams were full of you as you were When I left, still underage Your android replica is playing up again It's no joke When she comes she moans another's name But that's the spirit of the age, that's the Spirit of the age I am a clone, I am not alone Every fiber of my flesh and bone is identical to The others Everything I say is in the same tone as my test Tube brother's voice And there's no choice between us, if you had ever Seen us you'd rejoice in your uniqueness And consider every weakness something special of Your own Being a clone I have no flaws to identify Even this doggerel that pours from my pen Has just been written by another twenty Telepathic men Word for word it says "Oh, for the wings of any bird other than a Battery hen" To my worldview this is pretty sick. It is beneath the morality that I have been raised up with. I'm not a clone, I am a unique child of Yahweh Elohim. So, now you know my opinion, and my reason for having it, such as I do.

@@FrankPCarpi I totally agree with 'Ozric logic' and this is a classic piece of musicianship, even on a par with 'kick muck', but comparing apples and oranges is like lingo bingo for me gringo:))🤘That 'spirit of the age' is immortal in my eyes, as 'the mad's gone world' and thanks to Hawkwind we are all 'warriors on the edge of time'. They made manifest their dreams, as well with this:kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYHGpayDnJKUqaM One of if not the best for me and there are many to speak of. I appreciate the time it took to post your response, so I reply in like manner. I'm lucky I've got a punk head and hippy heart, a work of art from the start and I'm not a harbinger of doom, more a flower in bloom in a garden of pardon, excuse my views are a muse to enthuse, not confuse or baffle the bonce, and certainly no nonce or ponce. One of my favorite Ozric tunes made even more interesting with the inclusion of the electric violin. It added a textural quality that is quite in keeping with the Ozric's musical sensibilities. Very nicely done sir! In terms of musicianship and sheer creativity the Ozrics remain my favorite. I don't see that changing any time soon. Cheers!

A stunning version of a legendary track, thanks to Matt's e-violin. I like the synth bubbles popping in at 8.23, which sounds like Peter Gabriel's intro of ''San Jacinto.'' Brilliant. Pity that Brandi seemed to have left the Ozrics. Her presence was a plus.
