When I reviewed the Tikka T3x Tac A1 in 6.5 Creedmoor a few years ago, I love it and this new chambering in 223 is no different! Ultra-smooth action and well and truely sub-moa with factory ammo right out of the box. I really can't fault these amazing rifles.

If you order a Sako 85 Black Bear get it with the optional "single-set" trigger. I saw that trigger in a store on an 85 Bavarian (comes from the factory on all Bavarians) and it is incredible. Dont take my word for it, check out a Bavarian and see.

I was lucky enough to work at a large retailer that was closing our location down, (yeah I know, lucky) and we had everything marked 40% off including sale prices. Well we just so happened to have the Tac A1 in 6.5 Creedmoor on sale, and my coworkers knew I wanted one, so they set one aside for me. Between the sale, plus 40% off and my employee discount I was able to get the rifle for $858 US out the door after sales tax. This rifle has been absolutely amazing, and I would love to get my hands on the .223 version.

its seems that tikkas out perform their more expensive brother sako. disregarding price it seems that all the tikkas you have reviewed have out performed the sako TRG which represents "the real top tier long range factory rifles". I have a tikka t3x in .223 and i get around 1/4 inch consistently and I'm no marksmen yet it literally is second to none as their motto states. I dont know how they do it and at that price. i hope you would agree and say that they are by far the best value for money rifle one can get. love you vids, keep them coming.

When i seen you start the review and seen the 0 MOA scope mount my thought was that scope does not have enough adjustment in it. I have a Tikka T3 that i used as a donor action to build a tac driver. It shoots sub 0.25 with my hand loads. my mods are a heavy 26" Kreiger SS 5R barrel and a MDT chassis. I feed it Noser CC 80gr bullets. If your wondering what sub 0.25 MOA looks like it means you can split playing cards at 200m shoot eggs at 400m and hit soda cans at 800m consistently. Tikka makes a high quality gun period. It doesn't matter what model you buy its not going to be junk like a lot of the american mass produced rifles.

I've also got a T3 SS 270WSM that just amazes me every time I take it out...that's if I can pry it out of my son's hands. I bought it, swapped stocks out, worked up loads, dialed it in etc etc and my son tells me thanks Dad, I really like MY new rifle...😳🙄I let him know he can borrow it if I'm in a really really good mood...lol....KIDS THESE DAYS!!!

Hi Oz, I bought one in 223 after seeing your review I previously had a Tac a1 in 308. My only problem is with the magazine I've also had a CTR in 260 again the same magazine problem. The issue is that the magazine isn't a perfect fit, to much wobble up front of the magazine well. As a result the bolt can ride over the magazine resulting in a forward drop in the magazine while in the magazine well. I've experienced this issue with all my Tikkas which use this magazine as standard. It's just to loose. You're rifle works fine I wish mine did.

@Intellistan 2 жыл бұрын
Having ammo compatibility in today's age is a very relevant response to this "why". Having a few 16" and less AR's set up for their respective uses, and stocking ammo for years lends a good reason why having a DMR in the same caliber makes sense. Getting sub MOA at distance with the same ammo you and all your buddies stock is a good use-case any way you want to look at it. Of course this conversation ends up at .338 lapua or .50 bmg... "why"

Think USA is getting theirs in a cardboard box without a bipod. That's a nice box it came in!

After sighting in at 60 feet, I could easily cover 5 shots with a nickel kzbin.infoUgkxQt2uORDRfFOVSrO4idv4B90ThT6EOnEL ! Truly a pleasure to shoot! Scope was easy to adjust for eye relief. Only problem the varmints must have seen it delivered lol!Update: So impressed with shot groups at 30 yards I purchased a Hammers 3×9 with adjustable Objective scope! Now a true nail driver!

Odd, ours in Canada are 24 in. barrel cardboard box and 1 mag no bipod. We always get rooked here being the poor stepchild of the U.S. left on an ice flow.

Tikka buyers beware! Tikkas are an overall well-designed and manufactured rifle. They are well known for their lightweight and accuracy. There is a problem with the bolts. They are dovetailed into the bolt body. The bolt is not solid. The bolts can fail at the dovetail I know of a gunsmith in Wyoming, I live in Yellowstone County, Mt. , that has had four Tikkas come into his shop with the bolt handles broken from the body. Tikka has refused to replace the bolts. Tikka has also refused to sell him a replacement bolt. Is there no warranty on what is assumed to be a premium product? Sako, Tikka's parent company, is part of the Baretta group. I hope this flaw in the rifles and Tikka/Baretta's refusal to make it right, is corrected. You could help bring this to public attention and maybe Tikka/ Baretta will do the right thing by their customers. This is outrageous! I know of no other major manufacturer that sells a defective product, at a premium price, and then fails to even attempt to remedy this

That is weird. No issues with such service here in Finland. Maybe it is importer policy?

Stupid that Tikka does not include the same options in every country. Only one mag in my country, not a two stage trigger either and so on.

I have eight tikka rifles and seven Sako rifles..I have never owned a bad one everyone of them will MOA at 100 yards... Even with hunting ammunition that's just crazy why can't all gunmakers build equipment like this? I have a couple Bergara rifles that are nice guns but you really have to work for it compared to a tikka or sako rifle. The bergaras would MOA With match grade ammunition but they would not do it with hunting ammo

For the money those groups aren't that impressive! My la105 woomera shoots 0.3 inch groups with match factor ammo all day at 100 yard (and 2.5 inch groups at 650 yards) You could get the groups seen in this video with a howa for 1/3 the price. Ozzie, review the woomera and it'll make that tikka look over priced. $3500 for that tika plus another couple of thousand for that scope.
