👍it's been many years since I have done one of these, on a 150. I needed a refresher also. I have to replace my spindle on my 2006 f250 2×4. This van is the exact setup. I almost gave up in the search, most vids are for 4×4's . I almost didn't click on this one, but I'm sure I'm sure glad I did. This is the best audio and video step by step dyi on youtube..

Excellent job to remove it's so easy because i used aire hammer maybe in 5 minutes to put back on it's so hard but any way good job

I'm taking the tire off, the break assembly off, the tie rod end, NOT TAKING THE ROTOR OFF , going to use that extra weight with spindle , to pop the BALL JOINTS , SAW SOMEONE ELSE DO THAT

Opening pics reveal a crack at the base of the lower steering knuckle? (Please forgive any inaccurate terminology) If correct, shouldn't this be addressed? Sorry, if my perception is flawed or I am making a mountain out of a molehill. Otherwise, kudos to you for an excellent how-to video. Thanks.

You are probably looking at the mold casting, there is no crack.

I have that same breaker bar. Harbor Fright! 😁 Have you had to weld yours yet? I've done mine, twice, right where the square drive is bolted in - both sides. 😂 Served me well for over 15 years so far, though! Nice work, Glen! 👍🍻I always hated 1-ton front end work. Everything's too heavy for this out-of-shape weakling. 😁

Hey Smitty! The breaker bar was a gift from my dad many years ago, not sure where it came from. It's strong and tough and never had a problem with it breaking. Hmmmm, maybe mine is defective? Shouldn't a breaker bar break??? haha

hey glen... yea did that job a few times the 4x4 is a bit more the ball joints have to align when reinstalling unless the knuckle is tight hope you used moog oem or napa not a sponsor! hey is that an astro press? I have the bearing r and r kit and its been working good!

Yeah no axle to yank makes things easier in this case. That 4x4 hub vacuum seal is pricey. Do you use the specialty tool to drive it in? Part two shows what brand a hack like me prefers to use for suspension parts. haha 😬😃 Stay tuned.

If a 4x4 came to me for service I would. The foreplay is always fun yanking out that front axle and everything else that goes along with it. 😃

“If in doubt give her a clout” I’ve a set of these to do on my own Land Rover at least on the van the knuckles are on the spindle you can remove, they’re on the welded axle tubes on those 😒 hate them. Enjoyed the video none of those plastic cars 😜

16:05 Iexpedite1 - about here I had the confidence to not do this myself and pay the local shop. Here in NY when you hit stuff with a hammer it just disengrates from the salt and rust. It turns from a simple repair to pure replacement and continues until you reach solid metal parts.
