The bottom fell off that beer glass b/c of a mistake the bartender made. Pulled the glass out of the washer and it was still warm when he poured cold beer in it. The bottom is thick and retains the heat but the sides of the glass cool quickly creating a temperature stress right around the bottom. Sometimes it lets go as soon as you lift the glass, sometimes it hangs on until it gets a little bump. I've done this with Iced tea.

listen y'all. I watched that video closely and my investigation led to believe that indeed the Human has dropped the potato on purpose. You can see that the grasp is finnicky at best. I think they’re just unhappy that these aren’t honest mistakes so they feel lied to. An honest mistake is something unavoidable and inevitable. Wrong place, wrong time. Nothing more. That glass bottom falling out use to happen all the time where I use to work if the glasses were warm and we put something cold inside. We had to switch our glasses it was so common. Other glasses will crack randomly from the same thing... but these bottoms would just drop off... always in the same spot... never any warning. I worked in restaurants for quite some time - and that bottom of the glass just falling away thing happens quite often. They wash the glasses in extremely hot water, and then chill them quickly before putting cold beer in them. The repeated stress causes this kind of break.
