@kurzackd2 жыл бұрын
@@SpacePharaoh ... Ozzy might have said many things to draw attraction towards his work. That's the entire point of "stars" giving interviews. ;] Just look at the lyrics, 2nd verse: "Riding *painted* *horses* Oh the kids they *love* *it* *so* You can see it *on their faces* How they love the wind to *blow* " and then: "But if i don't try to help them They could wind up on the front page" The kids are shooting up / snorting balls / doing hash / whatever, and the protagonist is thinking that he should do something, otherwise they might end up as news items for the local papers. Then the pre-chorus: "I don't mind Draw the LINE, then draw me an arrow Feeling fine And I'll see you my friend Over and over again" Ahem... COCAINE.... -_- then, the last verse: "... I've been doing this all night How much did you give me Tell me it'll be all right" Only the FIRST verse doesn't sound like it's about drugs at all. So ok, I can admit that the song is not ENTIRELY about addiction. But a bigger part of is certainly IS... -_-
@SpacePharaoh2 жыл бұрын

A few friends and I were driving around town at night and one of them, being a big Ozzy fan, put it on. I was hooked on the song and that memory of hanging out with them and listening to this song for the first time stuck with me. I also think its because we don't hang out that much anymore especially since after high school that it made it feel more special.

I can still remember the day in boot camp, late '95...one of the few times we were allowed to have the radio on....I'm like..."Holy shit....that sounds like Ozzy!" Didn't even know Ozzmosis was out at the time. Hearing ZW and the Boss working together never gets old.

He never sold His Soul. He is what Satan Fears. His Heart is of the Light. Loving Honest to a Fault. Lol. But yes his music got me through a lot too. It kept me out of the darkness through the warnings. Kept me in check. I Hope You are still listening.❤

Only Ozzy Osbourne could make a song about Perry Mason and make it sound cool.

What're you talking about - Perry Mason was _always_ cool! But I agree, this song is pretty badass... (I don't normally listen to the heavy metal genre, but I found the tune very catchy indeed.)

Ozzy always had a knack for writing really good hooks and lyrics for any topic, even the horrible ones like the Manson murders (Bloodbath in Paradise) and pedophilia (Mr. Tinkertrain). No matter what you think of his sometimes shocking subject matter, he gets the best guitarists and really us a master of his craft. Always a fan.

I bought this album back in 1997 in my teenage years. God I miss the 90's. The music was so much better compared to the crap today. Live and loud was a great album also.

There's plenty of great music these days, all you have to do is look for it, it's not that difficult to find, I'll be 60 years old in January 2022, and I'm exceedingly difficult to please musically, and I've had zero problems with finding badass metal, I cannot, will not be stuck in the past, I refuse to be some pathetic dinosaur whining, and lamenting the past, the music is out there, go get it !

Indeed, loved growing up back then, but it seems like the rock stations that played more of the real rock dont anymore, just classic rock, at least in my area.
