It's kinda odd because Ozzy, Rudy, Tommy, and the stage are from the Diary of a Madman tour but all of the Randy footage is from his Quiet Riot days. You can see Kevin Dubrow's striped mic stand on the stage and the Peavy amps Rhoads used at that time along with his polka dot bow tie and vest outfit. Randy wore black or red leather on stage with Ozzy. I gotta wonder, was this a show after Randy died and it was cut and pasted with the Rhoads Quiet Riot footage? It's very odd because that is Randy's playing on the song. I just can't help but wonder why you don't see him on the stage with Ozzy and Rudy. You never see a wide shot with Ozzy and Randy in it but you do see Ozzy and Rudy. Also Randy played his white Jackson guitar on this song because it was tuned down a half step. Don't get me wrong it's a great video but in the end, it is not honest. It's kind of a lie but regardless, I give it a thumbs up because it still shares Randy's playing and the magic that band had.

This footage is from 1982. I saw Randy Rhodes live with quiet riot in 1981 I believe it was when my wife my would be wife was still alive. This is also black and white footage indicating that somebody like Bob daisley released this footage and Sharon and Ozzy signed up on it as it is Randy road footage. Being black and white footage it is concert footage from the day it is not pimped out or crossed over with modern footage if it was modern footage and there would be digital differences where is this is probably digital and remastered. Because it's remastered you may be right it is my hope that this is raw footage and the best they can find from the concert. It's my belief having not been there for this concert let the crossover references that you make about the concert are accurate. However in 1982 Aussie probably had to warm up the audience because who's this guy on the guitar if Ozzy came out or somebody came out before this footage was shown on mine today in KZbin there would be having to be a reference to quiet riot formerly of quiet riot Tuesday for example. Thank you for the much articulate speech. Improper english.in closing I hope I can answer your question by saying that when this concert came out they already had diary of a madman in the can according to Sharon because they wrote it and did it so quickly. At times Randy was frustrated as a classical guitar student doing rock and roll. So much so that the billion dollar question I'm asking myself is where is the missing guitar lead that Randy did not have time to write for a little dolls and then the plane crash sad day in our time zone and living in San Bernardino and reading this means it's time to go see Randy's gravesite again and talk with him about a guy that got to be in the room with him only twice in his life once and quiet riot Ali UNLV concert Hall and in a place called calamity jeans in Las Vegas a place that got close down Friday Las Vegas and my brother-in-law who is now deceased from brain cancer. I hope that this helps you clarify the many possibilities about this time. And Randy and Ozzy's life as well as the other members of quiet riot like the basis and I don't know where the drummer came from but boy that guy can hold time together I believe it was through Randy's hookups and Sharon brought them in for the interview when she aced but all he did was warm up and how he was loaded and she got the job if you want it but he didn't even know that I believe Sharon had to pass that together being an Arden by married maiden name is Arden her father did the contract for black Sabbath I hope this again answers any questions that you might have about the footage and a time period where I'm old enough to say been there and done it I just didn't know nor did anybody know about the plane crash that took Randy's life in March I believe it was 82 sincerely James McElroy

@@kevincoulter9610 Couple of problems there. If you saw Ozzy at the Joe Louis Arena, you saw Jake E. Lee in 1986, not Randy in 1980. And, Jake never plays a Les Paul. Ever. Only Gibson he has is a LP Junior/SG that never leaves his house because it is so rare. At that time he only used his white 1974 Strat with a custom Charvel neck. The only way you could have seen Randy live in 1980 is if you traveled to Europe. In 1981, they did play at the Detroit Masonic Temple and at the DTE Theater, but both of those shows were for the Blizzard of Ozz tour and Flying High Again was not played.

I saw Randy twice with Ozzy. He did. And his his black Jackson also. Those were his Eb axes. His Les Paul was never used for Eb tuning. He only toured with the white 1974 LP Custom. It would be nearly impossible for him to use the LP live for Flying High because it was usually followed by Revelation Mother Earth, which he DID use the LP on. And its in standard tuning. His 1957 LP Black Beauty was strictly for press photos.

You can search for the entire soundboard recording of the Met Center show during Diary of a Madman Tour. That is where the audio is taken from. As for Airey, he absolutely had these fills throughout the tour. Look up any show from the tour. Or the band jam melody they added during Suicide Solution. Wow super fake to different shows anOzzy show with Brad Gillis and a quiet riot show with Randy Rhoads. It’s a wonder why they did it in black and white you can even see the quiet riot logo on the drums lol!
