My brother committed suicide in February. He was 44. he was a fan of Ozzy and Black Sabbath. His greatest love in life was music, listening to it, singing , playing guitar in many bands. He wrote many songs about loneliness, pain, isolation, depression. We discovered that he had lots of secrets, that he was almost living a double life. he had always projected the image of the squeaky clean straight edge punk skater, it turns out he was an alcoholic, he hid it well. He worked at the same place(a toxic work environment) for 25 years. He was depressed for a very long time. He tried every medication out there (he and I both have /had bipolar), even experimental ketamine injections, nothing seemed to work. He was quite well off, had everything he could hope for except for one thing: someone to love, someone to share it all with. Friends and family tried to help but he was very stubborn ,refusing most help. The last words on facebook were: "It's a bad time to be alive." I was upset that he didn't leave a suicide note to answer a lot of unanswered questions, then I heard this song and felt like, this could be it, word for word, like Ozzy is channeling my brother in his last days. We miss you, Michael so much. You should have quit that stupid job, gone on disability and devoted your time to making music and art.

I am 25, live with my father still, have no education or skills, drink a 15 case or more everyday, have a love for music, and everyday I wake up and I’m instantly sad as fuck. I have never had a gf. I think about suicide everyday, your story helps, but I don’t know how I’ll feel in 5+ years. I’m sorry for your brother but the fact of the matter is people don’t realize until it’s too late.

This song straight up slaps, it blew my mind when I learned it was fairly new. I thought it was just an old hit of his that I never heard before until I went to the comments. Ozzy is a rock legend. I may be a bit young (15) but if u don't mind, I'd like to empathize. Before this year in my new school came, I was... unhappy. I was depressed, alone, always wishing the days to come to an end so I can sleep and never wake up. My mindset was terrible, and I would love it when I do terrible things to myself. This went on for years. But then, God sent an angel girl into my life, who is now my girlfriend. At first, I didn't notice her, which I regret a lot now haha but then once we started talking, I got this feeling God sent this girl into my life for a reason. Eventually I found out that I make her deal with a lot from me but she makes me happy and brought me a reason to live, and she actually fell in love with me and asked me to be her boyfriend, and her one and only at that. The feeling and feelings she gave and still give me, I can't be more grateful to have. I can't thank God enough for sending her into my life. Sure, her parents hate me, and my parents don't want me seeing her, but our love is strong for each other, and we will make it through. We were meant to be and I have no stronger feeling. Anyways, my point is that I completely can relate, and God is the best 😊

When I was 8 or 9 years old I remember being terrified of Ozzy because of all the rumors I would hear in school. I still listened to the music but I was honestly afraid of that guy. It's crazy now at age 46 to think of hearing this song back when I was 9 and how would I interpret under the graveyard, because right now I'm crying. Getting closer to 50 and thinking of my own mortality. I could have wrote this song. That is why Ozzy is amazing. He is not just throwing lyrics around. He connects himself with his listeners and says it for us. Just fucking Amazing. Thank you Ozzy. See you at the Garden 2020 cant wait.

I would not be here today if not for her. About 30 years ago, I had spiraled down pretty deep and was heading for the graveyard myself one way or the other. @The champs of Gaming unfortunately the capitalist mindset of major recording companies means that the crap that takes little to no talent (pop, country, etc) gets full exposure and attention over more talented, less popular (i.e., rock and metal) bands. The music industries of today have nothing to do with raw talent and what sounds good- all that matters is if they can squeeze a dollar out of a dime.
