In 2013 Bill Ward got left off 13, Dave Lombardo tried to help Slayer financially and got fired for it, Joey Jordison got kicked out of Slipknot via email and Clive Burr died. A year from hell for drummers!

@@almosthuman56 Sabbath fan since '74, and I agree with no hesitation - 13 kinda really blows. Rubin completely gelded Tony's monster tone that he had spent his entire life developing, and put a creative bridle on the band. The exclusion of Bill was sacrilege, and the drum sound on 13 is flat and lifeless. Nevertheless 13 became their only #1 charting album-go figure. I think Ozzy is just trying to clear his conscience before he croaks. Pathetic, because now it's probably too late to reunite for a one-off or another new recording. Sadly both Ozzy and Bill are on the 18th green and headed to the clubhouse soon. Love the ballsy selfie at the show blazing the Bill shirt!

Bill said sharron wouldn't pay him fairly and she didn't pay him properly because she doesn't like Bill..Ozzy can't stand up to her and let's her screw over people. The list is long and he looks weak and silly.I can't watch the Osborne's podcast.

Yeah, I saw a podcast interview and he admitted as much. He had a hard time remembering the past and was having a hard time speaking. He blamed it on all the years of being a booze hound and said he isnt the drummer he once was.

@@mikekeeler6362 That goes for all bands from the 70s and 80s. Retire with some dignity and enjoy ya millions. Most of these guys if they are lucky have 5 years left before they croak or end up wearing a diaper, drooling and having a nurse change it. They cant sing and they cant play their instruments. Either their brains are fired, vocal chords shot or they have arthritis.

The sad ass truth is rock/metal as we knew it died in 1990! Its ovaaah Johnny! Its ovaaah! Its gone the way of big band era music from the 1940s! It aint coming back. Ya got rap crap, dopey ass country, irritating female pop singers and techno AI computer synth shit! These crybaby prozac taking loser kids will never get into rock/metal. Its like being an old guy in the 1970s saying, Oh dont worry, these kids are going to come around and get into big band music and crooners again. you just wait and see. haha

@ThundersMcCoy

The problem is that these new bands aren't very good. They can't play (especially live) they're afraid to take chances, they're afraid to work hard and they're more addicted to social media than they are to making great music...and this isn't me being some old fuck talking about "you darn kids". I'm still in the clubs 5 nights a week (it's my business) seeing local, young bands. They don't have the hunger that we did back in the day. Music was our lives & for a lot of us it was do or die, no other option. The feeling I get from a lot of them is that it's just something they're doing.

As a casual Sabbath listener I thought 13 was ok, at least listenable unlike some of Ozzys latest releases. Also better than Kiss' monster as far as final albums.

Actually Ozzy & Tony own the name. Tony can only release back material under the Black Sabbath name. If Tony wanted to do a new Black Sabbath album, Ozzy must be involved. As far as the Sabbath reunion goes, Geezer has come out and said he is retired. He only occasionally speaks to Tony via email and has not spoken to Ozzy since the tour ended. This is just Ozzy feeling bad for screwing his old band mate. And if memory serves, wasn’t Bill the only one who didn’t want Ozzy fired from Sabbath? Ozzy only has loyalty if a) Sharon says it’s okay 2) if there is a big payday & 3) of Sharon says it’s okay 😂

Yeah, what was the cut they were going to give Bill for the album and tour, 5 or 8% if I remember correctly? It was worse than what paul and gene gave Ace and Peter! The sad ass truth, I saw an interview with Bill on a little Podcast several years ago and he was in bad shape mentally and physically from his hardcore drinking even though he quit years early. He admitted he has a hard time drumming and his mind/memory is shot. I can only imagine what it is like several years later.

Truth. I spoke with Bill at a couple of (Rick Steele) drum clinics in the 90's in So Cal and he told me that he actually had to relearn how to play drums. He is extremely lucky to be alive given the amount of self abuse. Bill Ward is a unique talent and an amazing person that deserves every bit of respect as the other original members of Black Sabbath.

I mean come on, really? Do we really want to remember Ozzy like Phil Collins in a wheelchair on stage? Stop. I’d support a bio-pic, and not a s@&$!y Netflix production. But that will never happen because Hollywood is dying and no big studio will ever put up the kind of money to make a quality film about a classic metal band. Appeal not broad enough for it to sell to the masses

As much as I love Sabbath, friggin ozzy needs to just go away already. I've never had any fame and as a older person I'm happy about that. Love Ozzy but the man was bitter for years after Sabbath canned him. Then he turns around and does the same to Ward with pretty much no remorse. And for money, not because of drunken unreliability.
