SirenCon should send this siren to a siren graveyard and get an ASC T-135AC/DC. you wanna know why? it’s because the motor’s commutators broke and the chopper lost 2 ports on the 12 port rotor. the 8 port side is still fine. the T-135ACs and the T-135AC/DCs are immortal. the commutators the P-50 was using is a brushless motor but it lost one piece of the commutator.

I don't know, but I would assume that's the reason. The siren also had issues in the past, so they might be trying to avoid those by slowly adding power.

A piece of fiberglass got sucked into the rotor it to expand, which added friction to the sides of the chopper housing, causing it to suddenly stop.

Why they were winding up P-50 gradually by "bumping" it (i.e. flipping the switch on and off repeatedly)? Why they couldn't just flip the switch on and let P-50 wind up by itself?

it's likely because the generator would trip out due to the high electrical load. What I hope wasn't happening, was a breaker was tripping out everytime and constantly being reset. There should have been a suitably sized generator to run the load, OR you run a VFD. I do think this is the reason why the siren failed, whether prematurely or not. There wasn't any mechanical sympathy. It's likely this siren had an underlying issue and the constant torque-bumping escalated the issue and lead to failure.

The chopper had small microscopic cracks in it and when it did a weird wail the chopper seized with the sator making force to stop the chopper.
