Very interesting video Paddy. In the 1970's my UK Cousin Lynda met a Thai man at a University here in England. He was sent over by his Thai family to be educated here. They dated and eventually got married here in the UK. They have 3 mixed race grown up children and are married still married today. They set up home here in the UK and opened a Thai Restaurant, which was very successful. They've both retired now but still very happy together. So, it works fine. This was randomly recommended to me :) my husband is also Thai, there are more "of us" than one might think, although the other way around is still more common. I always think it's a bit sad if someone says "I don't like Thai / asian men" because they are lumping millions (billions!) of people together (i also think its weird if someone strictly only dates one ethnicity 😳). I get everyone has a certain type, but keeping an open mind is very important too :)

I just found Paddy's channel. This is a great video. I'm a female traveler to Thailand and was in Pattaya last summer. I found Thai guys to be very kind , handsome, and some were even pretty macho & confident (which I like). I think the girls on this video are a good representative of gals. I'm not in my 20's and often wonder if there's a cool Thai guy out there who'd be interested in me, but I know they are interested in Western girls for sure. I met a British gal near my age who married her Thai husband about 3-4 years ago, and they seem to be doing well. He was her Muay Thai trainer. I tried using a dating app in Thailand, but, most of the guys didn't know English very well. I'm learning Thai to help with language barriers. One of the best ways I have told my friends (female/male) of how to filter out their dates is by asking one simple question: "do you eat Asian food (Thai, Japanese, etc)?" If they get a response that they do not, or they very rarely eat Asain food, typically they are not going to be open or are used to dating an Asian.

This interview is actually right. It's rarely see Thai guys on the street daing with white girls or another. If you look at the statistics revealed around 35 million visitors in Thailand 2017. With that mean there are million of beautiful and adorable girls everywhere here, but none of them just come across and ask some of random girls for number. Also, some of the girls might be waiting for Thai guys to ask her out, but she probably not sure whether she is attracted or appriciated to Thai guys or not. Thai guys need to have a confidence!

This western girl would 🙂 but I don't think Thai men like us western women. I think it's cause a lot of people expect everyone to speak English and do what's "normal" here. Rather than put in the effort to learn Thai.. I'm personally learning Thai, their culture. Skin ship & I'm Buddhist. So hopefully I'll be accepted one day.
