On November 28th 1920 in Kilmichael, County Cork, volunteers of the Irish Republican Army led by Commander Tom Barry ambushed and killed 16 British terrorists. Three I.R.A. volunteers were killed when the terrorists called a false surrender. Their names were ;- Pat Deasy, Michael McCarthy and Jim Sullivan.
