microcontrollers are used in plc. its our own option to choose from relay output or transistor output. input output can be logic or analog. The only difference between plc and microcontroller is there is a interpreter program in microcontroller used in plc which interprets the ladder logic program into outputs.

Good video. But at places you have made wrong statements. Actually both PLC and and embeded boards like Arduino have processors inside. Even PLCs can be programmed using structured text. PLC were developed to replace relay logic....

only digital output signal are relay base analog signal are not relay base plc is also transistor based ,plc is more costly comparing microcontroller , instead of it , its more demanded, bcs of it flexibility , trouble shooting , we can add more input output anytime , plc has more safe and secure , we can easy connect plc to cloud. plc project 100time more costly than microprocessor project.
