I'm a huge fan of Italo dance, it's the music of my teen years!! ;) hehehe i'm not a boy anymore, but I still love that synth sound and great melodies and arrangements. I had the great honour and pleasure to write a bit with Paolo in person who manages a recording facility in your country, and he told me that the metal section was a real one in the recording, this was a question I always wanted to ask him !!! :-)) Once again, you nailed it!!! I listened to them as a child and they immediately remained in my mind (I was born in 1985) and I must say that it is one of my favorite genres ever because these pieces have a unique rhythm and sounds!!! FABULOUS, writing with Paolo Pelandi... a truly honor!!!! It's true!!! When I started looking for information to recreate this masterpiece, I had seen a video interview that talked about how he had created Happy Children (and it seems to me that he was speaking from his new recording studio), and as you say, the drums and the trumpets/sax they were real live recordings!! I love your videos, music, and your compliments, too!! hahaha ;-)))) Seriously, Paolo Pelandi is a legend in the Italo genre, this is a fact, and he wrote some of the very best songs then. :-)) I hope he's still involved in the business in some sort of way, probably producing. The most important thing to me is always MELODY!!! it's the hardest thing in the world composing a really good and catchy tune, believe me...who cares about the lame lyrics or even cheesy synth sounds ? hehehe..but man, the MELODY is God!! .-D It's make or break, look at all those big acts, I mean the real ones, Prince, M,Jackson, Abba, etc...put the name you want, Queen, Survivor, Journey, Toto....always catchy songs, and great productions and arrangements of course. VERY TRUE, melody is everything!!! There are 80s songs that were also witty (Da Da Da from Trio) or very particular like (Oh Yeah from Yello or Der Kommissar di Falco and many others) which, however, managed to create truly unique and unforgettable sounds and rhythms!!! Not to mention the artists you mentioned that are and will always remain in the Olympus of true music!! Real music... that's what's missing today... the one made with the soul and creative ingenuity that transported you to another dimension making you dream!!!
