My advice is for artists to create their own platform. Put your money together and grown collectively. Labels for a time knew the strength of the genre - see So Solid - then they deliberately shunned the genre which people like Risky Roadz, Wiley, Skepta and Lord of the Mics capitalised on then helped grow it. Imagine if Jay Z launched a UK arm of Roc Nation and gave the likes of P Money creative freedom. The ROI would be mad.
