Yes, it's dyz again.
It took this long to do it, since I wanted to convey the story as good as I can.
First thing: This is my interpretation of this song, so of course, if you have your own you can describe it in the comments section!
Second: From now on everything I'll tell here is my own opinion, so don't take that as some ultimate truth, okay?
RD-Sounds wrote previously on his twitter "This is not a song a fan of Marisa would like" and I can totally agree with his statement. Basically Marisa is an evil witch.
About the speaker in this song, because it's quite interesting - main speaker is NOT Marisa. It's someone form the Gensokyo. Take a quick look at the booklet, and you'll probably see some familiar characters in the distance. I assumed the speaker here is Akyuu, but can also be Reimu.
So the golden text is words od Akyuu and the red are words of Marisa
I wasn't totally sure about the first picture, so I just assumed this is the "future", when Marisa finally has Rinnosuke for her own.
After that, when Akyuu first encounters Marisa, she already sees that "something's wrong with her shadow", so she keeps an eye on her. She later sees her with someone else (I first wanted to put a picture of Reimu, but it would've been impossible for her to not be known around Gensokyo, and the speaker seems to not know who her partner is), who seems to be her "friend". Still, Akyuu knows she might not really feel that way towards that person. In the end we see Marisa with some guy (Rinnosuke).
Between the parts where Akyuu tells us about Marisa, she starts to think more about "who she is" and she's left with no answers, apparently.

honestly, i think im one of the few people who prefer evil marisa to the kinder marisa a lot of artists like to portray. not entirely "evil", but moreso self serving. most of her omake texts fall in line with this idea, and zun himself even calls her a "bad person" in one of them. it gives a lot more balance to the protags imo, to make her feel like villain protagonist route.

I love this tune, I really do. It's a really old video, and the odds of anyone coming through this are slim and nil, but i'll regret not putting my thoughts out in the open, for any traveler to see. Your analysis of the lyrics is frankly superb, and I have to agree with your ideas. At first, I thought the investigating speaker might be Reimu, as you said (Or heck, even Rinnosuke, in a bizarre twist of self-reflection), but your idea that the speaker might be Akyuu pretty much sold me on that concept, especially taking into account the bit about knowing love and being born with everything. Truth be told, I agree with practically your entire analysis, it's really thorough, and I enjoyed reading your thought process to translate this song.
