I found this band only recently (regrettably), and was immediately convinced that this band has the highest level of musicianship (musicality/virtuosity) and showmanship (visual/theatrical effects) Actually, I think this band is among the best fusion bands ever existed, and the very best when it comes to originality and showmanship. Moreover, they can play so effortlessly with smiles on their faces! Mesmerizing both visually and auditorily : simply amazing and entertaining! This outrageously fabulous band is yet another example of Japanese perfectionism.

Japanese 公式動画としてUPされたことを祝いたます。 「風鈴の唄うたい (Fuurin no Utautai)」が左翼に批判されて公式にUPできませんでした。この動画をUPするのは、海外の和楽器バンド応援者でした。彼らは非公式ですが、和楽器バンドを応援してくれました。感謝です。 「風鈴の唄うたい (Fuurin no Utautai)」は終戦時の特攻隊員の思いを綴った唄に聞こえます。これを左翼は嫌ったようですが、靖国神社で特攻隊員の手紙が保存されていて、読むことが出来ます。 僕は「風鈴の唄うたい」を聴いたとき、特攻隊員の手紙を思い出しました。 この事実を日本人に知ってもらいたくない反日・全共闘世代は、もう老人なので10年ぐらいで死に絶えます。 若い世代が自由に知識を得て自分の意見が言える時代が、来ているようです。僕は60代になって、自分が学校で教わった事や新聞で知らされて事が、嘘だったと気に付きました。文部省に「俺の人生を返してくれ！」と思っています。 僕は、洗脳された戦後世代だったんです。 政治的な話はさて置いて、60・70・80年代のロックを楽しんだ世代として、「和楽器バンド」は革命です。琴・三味線等の音を増幅する技術ができて、バンド演奏に使える状況になった事。日本の詩歌に使われる言葉を歌詞にしてロックにした事。ロックとして楽しむことが出来る事。 よくぞこんなバンドが出来たな、と思います。 おそらく各国のミュージシャンは、和楽器バンドを研究していると思います。古から伝わる楽器をロックに融合するでしょう。それも楽しみです。 和楽器バンドは、新しい世界の扉を開いたのでしょう。

二日間のライブでしたが、私は初日に行きました。当日はずっと強い雨が続いていて開始後も雨を覚悟して会場に向かいました。が、開始３０分前に雨は止んできて開始時には月も見えるまで雲が消えて、最高の神々しい雰囲気に包まれてきて感動した覚えがあります。

I was just thinking something similar to that myself. The fusion of traditional Japanese instruments with European instruments of similar function, as well as instrumentation reflecting both traditions. It produces something unique while reaffirming the validity of each.
