P&O Arvia Caribbean Cruise ... Barbados and Homeward Bound

So after a very pleasant sea day where we used the opportunity to get some packing done we arrived in our final destination of Barbados. Can't believe that this is where we boarded the ship two weeks prior. How quickly did the time go .
We decided that we would be spending our final full day at Brandon Beach , we had heard about this beach at one of the information talks done onboard Arvia . After picking up a taxi from the port , and a fare of 10 US dollars we arrived at the beach .
When we arrived they were just putting out the sunbeads and umbrellas , the beach was very quiet , and remained this way all the time we were there . It was beautiful , the sea was a perfect turquoise colour , so warm and really easy to get into .
We went to the beach bar and restaurant for our lunch , which was very nice.After an enjoyable day we got a cab back to the ship .
That evening we had dinner in the Olive Grove restaurant , and enjoyed some music in the Clubhouse .
The following morning was time to disembark , but not before having breakfast and a final walk around the promenade deck . We had to vacate the room by 9 am , and were being picked up at 13.30 for the transfer to the Airport . We are glad to say that everything went to plan , the flight left more or less on time . We had a good flight back to the UK , and even managed a few hours sleep . It was a shock to get of the plane at Gatwick and be greeted with a thick frost , so make sure you dress appropriately .
In conclusion , it was a fantastic cruise aboard Arvia , our first time to the Caribbean but its not our last as we have already booked to return aboard P&O Britannia in 2025 .

Love this chapter. Brian's lunchtime dessert around 6 minutes resembles the Blob Movie. Our family always never dine last evening in the Main Restaurant as we have to give tips. Tight I know LOL. Pearl cracks me up when she commented upon your size again at around 29 minutes.

This was a fantastic trip you took. I have truly enjoyed it. This is how I get to travel. Pearl has worn beautiful dresses, but my favorite was the purple one. It is m y favorite color. You both were really dressed up this time. Love your hat, Brian! Meant to tell you that last time. I bet your little granddaughter missed you both. Pearl needs to buy what we call gym shoes, especially when it rains. She has really had a problem with ruined shoes due to water. I could feel how cold it was when you got home. I can't wait till the next time. Will miss talking to you. We celebrated Mother's Day today. Was a beautiful day. I know you all celebrate on a different month. Hi Rene , thank you , glad that you enjoyed it and it enabled you to see some of the Caribbean.I agree with you Rene concerning the Purple dress , that colour really suits Pearl . I haven’t got a head for caps 😂 so I find these sort of Panama style hats suit me better.I think she missed us , we certainly missed her but we got lots of cuddles when we got home .Rene Pearl has had a nightmare with shoes on this cruise, she does have some gym shoes but didn’t pack them . It certainly was a shock when we arrived back in the UK , that is why I changed my shorts and put my jeans back on before we boarded the plane .Well a belated happy Mother’s Day Rene , hope you were spoiled rotten. We are at the end of a nice warm and sunny spell at the moment, and have been told to expect heavy and thundery showers . Hello peeps! Nuther great vid. Brian, that green curry looked like something my Lab would 'crop' in the garden. Hope it tasted better than it looked.. Brandon beach looked lovely and peaceful, as long as you didnt look left. tis a shame its coming to a close. I feel like Pearl has a whole new wardrobe for this one. Stunning as usual, got a new bag Pearl..... On an odd side note. do you have any tips and suggestions as to the cruising life? things that have worked for you that you may not have thought of on your first trip, but now after a few cruises have realised, 'oh this is or isn't necessary'?

Hi Glenda, the green curry did taste better than it looked to be fair 😂. We loved the beach , nice and quiet and easy for Madam to get in and out of the sea . Only a $10 taxi ride away . Yeah ten vlogs it’s flown by , we are now getting ready to fly to Malta to board Azura for 7 days . So hopefully first one should be out in June . Course she got a new bag 😂. I certainly have realised that we definitely don’t need a drinks package on P&O . Make sure you are in the loyalty scheme as you do get discount on excursions, speciality restaurants. Balcony on med and Caribbean cruises ,as it’s so hard to get sun beds .Good idea to carry a photo copy of your passport, we nearly never got back on the ship in the Caribbean. 😱 Great to hear from you Glenda, thanks for watching and your usual great comment.
