@@c.h702 You can get free water all day from the bistro area, that’s what I drink because I take my own double insulated bottle so it stays cold. Not sure how much bottled water is.

Hi Mike, You can get drinking water from any bar - serve yourself. You can also get it from the pantry at at time and the restaurants. I take an insulated drink bottle for in my room at night and for when I go on the islands. You can also buy water but we never have. 😊

I don’t think they’d give you a 2nd glass. I think they’ve changed it and allow individual drink packages now. Let me know how you go. 😊

About to go on a 10 day trip and as you suggested $99 a day will be approx'ly $2000 which is quite a lot of money and would not even come near drinking 15 drinks a day. I/we have decided to pay as we go. As suggested on port days half the day is gone and won't even come close to drinking 15 let alone 7 drinks a day. We are going with a group of friends, and we are not in our 20's or 30's anymore although we may give it a bit of a nudge. Great video on PO's very expensive drink packages, going on a Holland America trip and their similar package "Have it All" (internet drinks etc) worked out to be $60AUD a day and a lot more food etc such as pizza's are included in cruise price. PO nickel and dime you on everything but give you cheap cruises but more than make it up on everything else that is not included. Will do a review after doing both trips.

We normally do our own thing on cruise days (as a couple) and each afternoon meet at a bar for pre dinner drinks before sharing dinner and the evening events together. I bought my son the soft drink package but us adults went pay-as-you-go for alcohol on our last P&O cruise which was 5 days. It worked out fine. We aren't big drinkers and we had 3 port days, so it wasnt worth it for us.

I would assume the answer is yes. Actually I had Vodka and soda - so yes, definitely soda water. Mineral water I don't remember ever seeing but you can take 12 cans in your carry on baggage. Enjoy your trip!

Do you need to buy the package for the entire duration of the cruise or can you just like buy it for say 1 or 2 days only? Thanks

You need to buy the package for the entire cruise. If there is more than one adult in the room, all adults usually require them to buy the same package too.

I believe only alcoholic drinks are limited.

Yes, you can take 12 (cans only) each in your hand luggage. If you put them in your suitcase they’ll keep your bag longer and request you go down and open it before releasing it to your room. Thanks heaps for watching! Enjoy your cruise 🚢 🥰

Yep i stopped doing the drink packages last few cruises as they are not really worth. I did buy a bottle of wine for dinner on my last p and o cruise BUT if you don’t finish it that night they NO LONGER put it in the fridge at the restaurant for you for the next nights, so you have to take it back to your room…walking through the areas with an opened wine bottle was embarrassing for me.

U don't have to pay for coffee and water it is free unless U want upmarket coffee and bottled water, ships water is desalinated sea water so is purer than bottled water.

We normally download a few Netflix movies. They do show movies on the tv in your room too. I’ve seen quite a few people take cards, games, crosswords and a book. The onboard library was basically empty the last time we were onboard but there were a few people enjoying their games. The daily itinerary has a lot of options to keep you busy too. Have fun! 🤩

There’s pros and cons for shore excursions. Pro: The ship will wait for you if you are back late on one of their excursions. Safety. Cons: ship excursions are expensive. We always get to an island and negotiate a price with a local. You can also go online and book similar excursions with tour companies - usually at half the price. As a first timer, you might feel more comfortable booking a ship excursion or just hopping off and exploring yourself. Most islands have tours that you can book once you’re there.
