P&O Cruises Iona - Day 1 - We Arrive Late on Embarkation Day and Enjoy Dinner in The Beach House

We sailed onboard P&O's Iona for a 7 week Norwegian Fjords cruise in July 2024. In this video we take you through our embarkation day which involved a delayed coach journey down to Southampton from Birmingham. When we finally made it onboard Iona we enjoyed dinner in the Beach House and Digital in the Headliners Theatre.
P&O's Iona is an excellence class cruise ship, who sailed her maiden voyage on the 7th August 2021. She is the sister ship to Arvia, who is the newest ship in the P&O fleet. She has 18 total decks and is able to carry a maximum of 5,206 passengers.

Living in Scotland & going for a cruise from Tilbury, I will arrive the day before & stop at a b&b & relax & next day you board the ship.

Not a fan of Starbucks. Using the coach to get to the cruise port was good. Would take a snack to keep in carry on luggage. First night dinner is usually a little chaotic. The steak looked good. A glass of Chianti would go with that nicely. Don't like crab. My wife would have liked the dessert you had. Did they use British currency on the cruise? Am subscribed.

Yes, everything is price in £s onboard a P&O ship. The dessert was great, very tasty!
