We thought the food on Cunard left something to be desired. We also thought the buffett had better food than the MDR. On our two week cruise on the QMll we had tea in the Queen's room once. My wife liked to sit on a chair on the Lido Deck and they brought us tea and pastry. They did have good scones. The Grilled Salmon looks good. Dining room service was pretty slow when we went on our Cunard cruise. You should have had a Prosecco instead. They took out craps tables from the casino.

We weren’t massively impressed by the food either to be honest. The casino on Queen Anne is very small, no craps tables in there either.

@@sistersontheseas On Cunard they made the casinos smaller a few years ago. They also took out the craps table. They did make other parts of the ship larger though.

Thanks for this. We love Lisbon. You can't beat a Potugese tart with a glass of port 🍷 there. Much better than a Negroni! 😀👍 Still not sure we will rush back to Cunard, but never say never!

We’re both a bit too wimpy to try the Portuguese tarts, convinced we wouldn’t like them! We enjoyed Queen Anne, we’d be interested to try the other Queens now as everyone says it’s a totally different experience.

@sistersontheseas It was a totally different experience for us! Cunard was our worst of six cruises for service and cleanliness in 2024 😂

Shame you didn’t jump in a taxi and go further afield we sail February for 2 weeks for our honeymoon and booked a few excursions with P & O and then the rest ourselves

We’re not sure you actually watched the video? We spent the day walking in the port. Of course we do eat differently on holiday than we would at home, but 3 meals isn’t exactly relentless.

Vigo is in Spain. Didn't know that before. Don't mind hills. Ah, a Fort is nearby. Glad that you enjoyed the Fort. Have been to quite a few Forts in my travels. Did they have veggie burgers? Don't like to sit around a pool. My wife used to love to have dessert. She also liked to go to the Queen's Room and watch the people dance. What you had at the start of the show doesn't appeal to me. Dr. Ellingham wouldn't like it either.

Just back from a four day Queen Anne cruise, we found it all superb, particulary the wellness cafe was our favourite spot for breakfast. We really liked the variety and portions sizes on offer. Overall considering price we paid we felt it was incredible value.

We just spent 4 nights on Queen Anne ( as a tester trip ) in the Grills and the food and lounges etc were superb on every count - well worth the extra cost over Steerage. Queuing is a no no for us - the Artisans Food Hall was like a barn yard when we viewed it after our dinner one night...planning a 2 week trip now in the Grills. The crockery and table settings looked the same as in the Grills.

We have been lucky enough to look at the Grills area on Queen Anne and it does look great, something we’d definitely like to experience. Yes, I believe the table settings were pretty similar if not the same.

The standard of cruising now has plummeted in the last decade ….staff and service in the MDR is a lottery …we were on QA for its second cruise in may 24 , every morning was breakfast surprise….you could order what you liked and it was a 50/50 as to whether you got your exact order …

We had the same problem when we tried room service breakfast later in the cruise. Very annoying!

Am subscribed, even hit the like button #32. Once again, don't eat ham or pork. Much of the artwork isn't that pricey. When my wife and I went on Cunard we were disappointed with the food. What is a trifle? Maybe you should have brought a snack to eat while waiting on line. Beef Wellington can be good. What kind of fish was it? My wife liked to watch the people dancing in the Queen's Room too. We were disappointed with the dining too. The Specialty Restaurant was good though. It was a Todd English Restaurant.

A trifle is a kind of layered dessert with cream, custard and jelly. It’s a bit of a British classic!

Good to see you trying that 'pay extra' toastie at the Golden Lion - I couldn't bring myself to pay for a toastie while I was onboard, considering what else is available onboard for free. Looks like a decent first day - the weather really delivered for you by the looks of it!

The food on Queen Anne is very good you don't have to have chicken, and four courses is enough .Two weeks sailing and not a complaint.

The Haddock looked good, but, so did the Veggie Burger. What I don't like about Cunard is they took the Craps tables out of the casinos. Not a cocktail drinker. Does the Queen Anne have a Planetarium? The Library must be good as they are on all Cunard ships.

There’s no planetarium on Queen Anne and her Library is a bit smaller than other Cunard ships. Still a lovely library though!

Never been to Norway. It's like that going to Eastern Canada too, just be prepared for anything. Balcony Staterooms could be nice. Some aren't so good. We liked being on the aft section of the ship and watching the views from the balcony. Any excursion would be booked with the cruise line. Some of the ports may just want to visit museums.

The bathroom space looks small. Hope the mini fridge is empty at the start of the cruise. Prefer being on the odd side. My late wife would have problems in the bathroom. What? No restaurant reviews?

@sistersontheseas I didn't like that on celebration night, everyone who dressed up could go to the casual venues but not the other way around. So, we, a group of 5, couldn't find a place together in any bars like malabar etc.. That's not ideal in my opinion. Buffet layout chaotic, but MDR was fantastic. Food one of the best I had so far on a ship. And I do like that size and decor, that does not bother me in the slightest 😊. I'll be back soon for iona questions 😅

It was really good! Honestly you have to jump in the pool, the night wouldn’t have been complete without it. We just abandoned them on the floor at the side of the pool, probably not the most sensible 🤣
