P&O 'IONA' Cruise Ship arriving Southampton Ocean Cruise Terminal from Lisbon 5th March 2022

Just after midday today 12:30pm 5th March 2022 the P&O Cruise Ship 'Iona' arrived at Southampton Ocean Cruise Terminal from her last port call of Lisbon in Portugal.
She is due to depart from Southampton around Midnight tonight heading for Vigo in Spain.

Great job, Steve. We watched her depart this afternoon(our time here in Henderson, Nevada) on the harbor cam. Beautiful ship. I believe she's one of P&O's newer vessels.

I was on her.... her final stops were changed from Cadiz followed by Lisbon to Gibraltar followed by Cadiz(same days)... hence already starting the return further south... then on the morning after Cadiz we had to pull into Lisbon for a MedEvac so basically we were leaving Lisbon more than 12 hours after we would have been scheduled to, AND she was heading into a strong headwind (with fair swell) so that even at full power she couldn't regain the time hence getting in late (should have been in about 7am).... cue a shipload of p**d off passengers missing flights & trains and another shipload of new customers waiting & upset with delayed embarkation (& no daytime sail away)..... but it was still a most enjoyable cruise.

OMG we were on her. Sitting in the Crows Nest waiting for disembarkation. She should have docked about 5am but arrived at 12.30pm. We had to make an emergency stop at Lisbon because one of the passengers had taken ill. We certainly hope that person is ok.

We were on her that day. Being late back didn’t affect us luckily. Too big a ship for us. Many. saying the same.
