In his groundbreaking work, "Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy," published in 1687, he presented his three laws of motion, which describe the fundamental behaviour of objects under the influence of forces. These laws provided a unified framework for explaining the motion of both everyday objects and celestial bodies.
Additionally, Newton's law of universal gravitation explained how objects attract each other with a force proportional to their masses and inversely proportional to the square of their distance. This law demonstrated that the same principles govern the motion of objects on Earth and the motion of planets in the heavens.
Newton's discoveries were not limited to physics. He made significant contributions to mathematics, optics, and calculus. His work on optics explored the nature of light, including the discovery that white light is composed of a spectrum of colours.
Isaac Newton's scientific achievements have had an enduring impact, shaping our understanding of the physical world and influencing subsequent generations of scientists.
