Beast does not have a single scene where you feel tense, it is a stand-up comedy show, not a hick jack movie. One of the worst movies by Vijay. Do not tweak your story due to the hero image. Nelson failed here as he tweaked the script keeping Vijay to showcase him as Hero only. Vijay's 2022's biggest Flop, As always, Pooja is the Iron leg, Unfortunately Indian directors are not realising that.

But bro he is in start of cine industry and if you seen his director roundtable interview you might have noticed it because of that only its like this. After pokkiri in this movie he shown less expression. song was ultimate.. this is different in making but screenplay wasted but cinematography and stunt was major. it was like thalapathy playing as a game character rather than a movie. I think its thalapathy movie but other character comes in far namesake and villain was stupid than far people enjoyed. I now think atlee is better than nelson even though story is copy in atlee movie it will be engaging. but we have to give kudos for director to give pokkiri vijay for fans.

Hi Rahman. I agree to most of the points you said. I personally liked the comedies (Not all, but majority). One thing that was annoying is the length of the movie. I wonder if there is an unwritten rule for big star movies in terms of length. Movies starring big stars are always lengthy, even if the script doesn't demand it. Do you know what is the reason behind it.

@hriday rasa Thuppakki was 2h 52m, and it was not a problem at all. Because the script demanded it and the screenplay made justice to the length. But Beast would have been more interesting if the screenplay was faster which would have made the length shorter for a hijack story. Other star movies or small budget movies are made shorter or lengthier according to the script. For example, pizza. It genre is horror and it was only 2h. Despite being a shorter film, it gave a complete feel. So, I am coming back to my question. Is it an unwritten rule for big star movies to make long duration movies even if the script doesn't demand it. My question is not only for vijay movies. It is for all big star movies. So I hope you understand my question now and take back you disrespectful comment. Please and thank you 🙂

For tamil movies with big stars the length is planned mostly like this I assume : 1. Opening scenes 1.a. buildup scenes 1.b. Mass scenes 1.c.punch dialogues 2 . Interval block 3. Climax 4. Heroine portion 5 . Comedy portion 6. Songs 7. Stunt scenes 8. Sentiment scenes and finally 9. Story . :) If you give 20 mins for each then it is 180 mins. But direcotr would have shot the movie for 500 mins and editor needs to shorten the length. Director sits with editor and keeps pestering saying almost all scenes are important 🤪 If director plans for a pucca script , plans new things in each scene , plans for twists and turns - surprise elements and keep the script tight , then the movie wouldn't cross 2 hours and then it will be entertaining . Scenes or buildup should justify the content and presentation . Director has planned for a movie like Whitehouse down but the execution has gone miserably wrong .

The screenplay is absolutely flat and the whole movie feels as if it was shot by school children. Excellent review by the team. It is high time that the audience criticise such a low effort movie so that we can see great movies again.

I have nothing against Thalapathy,. If with this kind of stardom he is gonna deliver Dog shit. Then I have nothing more to say. And if someone love Thalapathy so much they can put his poster in their room and worship him. What he does off screen doesn't matter to me because I am not interested in his personal life. An small example, u r questioning a logic of a high talented RAW agent (as portrayed) who is trained in defencing, rescuing disaster management, recovery management.
