Honestly I hate it. I’m not sure if he’s actually trying to play dumb or being intentionally obvious to tease Dan but it feels forced when he’s lingering around waiting for moments and animations to activate, or setting up a scene by saying “oh, seems like things are normal around here” only to pan around to the creepy thing, like with the baby in the sink. I guess if you’re as easily scared as Dan it doesn’t take away from the experience though

Can we talk about how amazingly perfectly timed Dan is at 20:26??? He literally is like "Yeah I'm done" and the game LITERALLY responds IMMEDIATELY AFTER by displaying ACTUAL TEXT as "No turning back now!" and it's the funniest shit I ever seen. This is such a fantastic horror game that it literally caused Dan permanent emotional trauma. To this day he still compares every other horror game he plays to this.

@@turner15 There is a good video deciphering the whole thing that you can find on KZbin if you search up "PT explained." It's most likely a metaphor for the Fox engine the Kojima worked on for nearly half a decade so it could be used for future MGS titles. When in the process of getting rid of Kojima, the engine was still going to be used for the future (hence the whole "the manager liked how she looked in a skirt" thing)

Mostly due to it being made with older technology compared to the advanced machines we currently employ. Just because people feel or think a sprite based game looks good, doesn't make it actually timeless. It means a lot of people feel a certain way, objectively, older technology is inferior to newer technology.

@@Gooong Two things. I wouldn't say Windwaker holds up, its just a preferred style by many. It makes sense for people who share those thoughts to say such things, but those aren't facts. Speaking of which, that's a subjective measurement. Windwaker's cartoony style mostly seems similar to the same cel-shaded look as a slew of other works.. Just as there are people who like that style, there are people like me who dislike it, and prefer Twilight Princess's look. Separate cases, but not an actual point.

+Silver Silverope Or any Metal Gear game now that Hideo has "left" the company and the Fox Engine. The Fox Engine really showed the graphical and processing limitations of current, and maybe even future consoles/PCs..and Konami will most likely destroy it since they have no use for it, since they're now going to focus on making mobile games/apps. Really made me mad when I found out Konami still had the Fox Engine after Kojima left...it really overshadowed all the newest games in terms of graphics and performance...

I think that's only during the "gouge it out" loop, because she actually disappears after you gouge the picture (plus all of the shadows and noises come from just that loop, or if you get possessed during the hello or final loop). Plus it wouldn't actually make sense if she was following you when she's up on the balcony, or spawns randomly in the hallway during those 2 loops, so yeah I don't think she follows you the entire time.
