When i see one of these cars every five or ten years, i always love to hear their sound and listen intently. Underboost always means you did something wrong.

Thankfully it was just the vac line. I knew it was minor because I had to climb a 6% grade on this trip and the Abarth went up it like nothing like always. I looked up that Go-Kart you did a video of. Not legal for sale in California! Yoga on the Beach and Walmart go carts are not allowed here lol.

2015 Fiat 500 Abarth. Bought it in 2018 with 35000 miles. Bought it expecting it to be a total piece of junk car but I really wanted one. So I bought one to be a fun daily driver to take to work. I would of been happy if it lasted 3 trouble free years. I'm at year 5 and this thing has been a better car then a lot of vehicles made after 2020 with all kinds of problems. I just keep up with regular oil changes and the only thing I've needed was new tires and right now it just needs new tire pressure sensors but that is really minor for a Italian car that's almost 10 years old.

If this car is 5 years old that you have had it, then it is still a great used car. You are good at fixing things dealing with vehicles of any type. Keep up the great work. Amen

The way I look at cars is it takes you to work. This car has taken me to work for 5+ years and this was a $2 fix. So this car has made me 20X more money then I bought it for. That's a great topic right there! True value of a car.

Just a Vac line. This Italian car remains reliable! Bought it expecting that it would be broken within 3 years but it has been trouble free!

Well if it needs a turbo....these things really fly with an upgraded one ;) I'm sure it's just a boost leak, it's amazing how reliable these are compared to the old fiats. Definitely a future classic here in the states, I'm shocked we got the car at all

Exactly why I bought one! I was like no way is this sort of car going to be successful in America. I had to have one even knowing it may discontinued soon and took the risk it might be junk. in 2018 I can get a 2012 with 100,000 miles for $5000. I decided to get this 2015 with 35,000 miles for $12,000. I figure if it takes me to work trouble free for 3 years I got it out of my system to have one and I'll be happy with 3 years trouble free if it has a major breakdown I'll figure it out later. $2.00 fix it was just that cracked line. So 5+ years of taking me to work I made 20X more then what this car is worth I say it's done its job and it's made driving to work fun and I get 28 mpg on a boosting through every gear tank and 40+ mpg driving it at 65 on a road trip.

@@tommyistommy My prediction for them when I saw 100,000 mile ones going for $5000 was people wil buy theml slap a gigantic Turbo on them like people did with 90s Eclipses and blow their motors and send these to junk yards. My plan was to hopefully have one of the few remaining surviving stock ones when they are long gone. So far so good! I believe around 50,000 Fiat 500s sold in America and I have no idea how many of those were Abarths so it's already a pretty un common car! Stock Eclipses from the 90s now go for $20,000+ on Bring A Trailer . I bought my Abarth for $12,000 and 5 years later and 20,000 more miles on it I can still get $12,000 for it.

@@JohnDrivesAnything oh yeah, any stock 90s tuner car is selling for their new MSRP. 90s Honda's are the new 50s Chevys. Everyone had one and dogged it out and wants to relive the glory days now. The engine tuning is not easy on these, I thought Saabs would be a hot tuner item also but they never caught on like the DSMs and VW turbos did

@@tommyistommy All those Ricers with SI and VTEC Badges on their non SI and non GSR Integras now have the money to buy what they didnt have as kids! Not gonna lie I always envied those 90s VTEC cars and DSMS When I see a Eclipse now I'm like damn what a good looking car, things weren't so fat and bloated due to safety regulations. I know you know this car. Chevrolet Sprint Turbo! I want one but I'm sure there is 3 left in the World lol. So the Abarth is the closest thing I can get to a Modern truly small Turbo Hatch back. 2500 pounds. Im sure if this didn't have to pass safety regulations it would of been under 2000 pounds like the 80s/90s hatches. Abarth has a huge cosmetics and engine mod aftermarket. I'll see if I I'll be the guy in 10 years who still has one stock.
