P0456 Check Engine Code, Fixed.

Check engine light came on in my 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT. Scanned it with OBD, came back with the common P0456 code. With P0456 you always start by checking the gas cap. If it's not that, the vapor canister purge valve might be the candidate. Easy cheap part to replace.
For the 2013 Elantra, part number is PV648. Here's the part I purchased on RockAuto www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo....
After 1,000 miles, the check engine line has not come back on, so I can safely assume the purge valve replacement fixed the problem.

had the same problem a couple of months ago. Changed the part shown on the video but after 100km it lid back on. I searched online and found a piece located under the car next to the exaust called the "Genuine OEM 31430-1Y000 Valve - Canister Close / 314301Y000" Since the change, it never lid back on and everything's great. Found it on amazon, i believe they sell it on other websites as well. Hope it helps!

Thank you,I'm going to try that, my mechanic listed a whole bunch of things it could be, and I asked what the common item is anyhe said it's always different, so I'm going to try that valve, I clear the code but the scan tool says permanent code

Right… might as well try the simple/cheap things first. My light ended up coming back on again many months later, and the culprit was the evap canister near the fuel tank. That was NOT cheap 😕
