She kept saying "Jesus is God", Shamsi quoted the bible multiple times saying "Jesus said the true God is the Father". Then she said we go by the 10 commandment" for her criteria for right and wrong. The 1st commandment, Thou shalt have no other Gods be Me. 2nd) Thou shalt have no graven images. If Christians truly ponder deeply over these 2 commandments, especially the 1st one, they will realize that this is a purely monotheistic commandment given to prophet Moses (p). There was only One God delivering those commandments to Moses (p). The prophets before Moses (p) and after him preached monotheism, One God. The 'trinity' doctrine that Christians believe in today came into its complete form as it is in the 4 century, almost 400 years after prophet Jesus (p) left the scene. Also, the 2nd commandment, when I was a Christian some years ago I would walk into some churches and see pictures of this man supposedly of Jesus (p), or carved out images of a dead man hung on a cross. I always thought there was something wrong with this picture, is that what Jesus (p) looked like? And why do we have to look at a dead guy hanging on a cross during the sermon? If Jesus (p) were alive walking on earth right now and wanting to go worship somewhere, would he go to a church or a cathedral, sit down, and start singing songs about him, and look at those pictures and that dead guy hanging on the cross and start praying to it, or pray to himself? Or would he go to a mosque and submit his will to the will of his Creator as he said in the Gospel, and worship just God alone, and believe and preach One God? "Here 'ol Israel the Lord OUR God is ONE LORD". Alhumdulilah.

To properly understand a text you must take it in its context. There is also the need to understand what the Bible generally says about a subject to get a balanced view of it. Therefore to take one or two verses on a subject and use them to interpret all the other verses according to their own position, is not the right way to interpret the Bible.

This is Greek mythology stuff that has crept in to Christianity and perverted it over the first 4 centuries of Christianity. Also, in the OT Isaiah 42:8 God says He doesn’t give His glory to another, a theological contradiction. The Old Testament was and still is a monotheistic Jewish scripture that trinitarian Christians have been butchering for almost 2000 years with a man made concept of God, the trinity.

When a person reject the simple understanding of Jesus message, where Jesus said,"The only true God is the Father and Jesus whom He has sent, or Jesus can't do anything except through the will of God" then you really can't expect her to understand the culture of other nation and the culture of Islam. The best thing to do is to tell her, believe in One God and don't believe in the trinity.
