I had a P1130 code on my 2000 infiniti i30. My problem was the car wouldn't start right after it warmed up. I changed the ECT sensor first and it worked! No codes now and the car is working great. The ECT sensor was only 20 bucks compared to 130 bucks for the actual Swirl control valve solenoid.

Do you think it’s safe to drive the car with a po1130 code? I got that code for the first time ever with po440. I’m assuming I may have a leak somewhere. It’s an old 2000 Sentra 1.8l

Got the p1130 code on my 2000 infiniti i30. Check the hoses and found one disconnected, put it back on and the code still comes on after clearing it. The problem I have it's hard to start after it's warmed up

Bro, everybody says this the hardest error code to diagnose with Nissans and i can testify that the P1130 can be a beast! If you just have the 1130, I would do a few things in this order. 1) Check for vacuum leaks through bad or cracked hoses. 2) Push on the swirl control value and see if can be moved. It is spring loaded so it should bounce back; like in the video at 1:41 3) From a cold start, start the car and see if there is a valve articulates. It should. And then, as the car warms up, the valve should open up. 4) If you the valve never moves, i would look at the control solenoid. The control solenoid cannot be purchased separately from a dealer, but you can go to a junk-yard and see if you can find values.

@@homeandcarrandr9179 I have the code P1130. The service station charge me over 600 dollar to fix. They said have to take the manifold and clean and replace 2 swirl control solenoid. Its the service ripping me off?

@@cmichael2005 Hey, man...I'm sorry to hear that. You know it's hard to say if they are a rip off or not. The swirl control solenoids sit right on top of the engine (see the video at 0:50). Those are easy to change, but they parts can be hard to find depending on the year of your car. But you do have to take the [plastic upper] manifold off to get to the swirl control valve. There is now way around it because it is physically attached to the [aluminum] lower manifold....and the lower manifold sits under the plastic upper manifold. And its a lot of work. Trust me. I have footage of me taking my manifold off but I haven't made a video of it yet. So, in short, IF they really had to do it, than that's probably a fair price for the labor. But I don't know if that much work was required to fix your problem. I guess I would have them show me what they are talking about and what parts they want to change. I would start with getting new control solenoids first. It's not cause any harm. If that doesn't fix the problem, I would have them clean the manifold. Try to get some guarantee that the work they are charging you for will fix your problem. What if they clean the manifold and the errors come back? I had a similar problem, but I had to replace my manifold. Good luck.

They change the whole manifold include the swirl control solenoids , Its a used one from savage yard, they give me 3 months warranty on it, also they 2 hose, because is dry rod out, take them 2 days to get it done, have to find the manifold . It cost me 714.00.
