Looks good! I bought the C&H plate with the rear sight on it by accident!!!! I ordered the rear sight from Sig. I ordered the C&H plate for my Reserve and am going to use the rear sight on it. The P226 is a decent shooting pistol. Pretty accurate. I’m around 1500 rounds through it right now. Thank you for the video

For as meticulous as you are, I am very surprised you're not cleaning the optic screws and plate/frame holes with acetone prior to using Loctite to fasten the screws. I used to do the same as you and it took a couple RMRs flying off for me change up the way I mount optics. Just place a little bit of acetone on a lint free rag and use a T-wrench to "tighten" in an optic or plate screw on a portion of the rag that you are pinching the screw through. You'll be amazed at how much gunk comes off on the rag. For the frame holes, I take some of the "bulk" off of a Q-tip and use that along with white pipe cleaners that I gut up into small sections. All of this really makes a difference if you are putting thousands of rounds through your builds.

The C&H plate I got has a rear site attached. So yes I lost the rear site from factory but once I put on my 507comp I have a new rear site. With tax and shipping it’s 153 bucks.

C and H sells a plate that looks like it includes the rear site. Was there a reason you didn't go with that one or was it just not available at the time. Oh and thanks for all your videos. Much appreciated.

@@WindRiderPNW glad you enjoyed the videos! Regarding the plate, I didn’t go with the rear sight option because I had the SIG rear sight that is made to mount to the XFIVE.

The gap is not an issue. Ive shot hundreds of rounds, some loaded to near major and the sight (Holosun Comp GR)hasn't moved or loosened and the screw engagement is greater with direct mount. On my P226 X5 STAS, which has identical cut, I have had a Holosun 507C-GR-X2 and currently an SRO and both work great and stay put with direct fit and cowitness with the rear sight which I was finally able to acquire for both guns.

Pretty sure it will not co-witness correctly because of the suppressor height front iron.

I don’t own a pistol finished it cerakote. I’d imagine the friction of drawing from a holster would pretty much wear it down to the bare aluminum rather quickly, no?

Without that plate the holosun 507c will come loose everytime. I'm waiting for CH to get that plate off backorder. Now can you help the planet find a holster for the X5?
