I just want to add something here. I think there is a confusion on a couple terms used within the debate. Immortal means that something can not die. The body is mortal (has beginning and end), the soul is immortal (meaning it has a beginning but no end) and only Allah is Eternal (has no beginning and no end. He was, is and always will be). Pease if I'm mistaken then correct me.

Problem is the bible says there was Levitical Priesthood set up. A sacrificial system was established. So yes there are instances where it says do "teshuvah" repent, turn from wrong doing, make recompense etc. However, one would have to ask if God does forgive without all this blood letting........ why does the Hebrew Scriptures talk so extensively about slaying all these animals, sacrifices etc if all he wanted was a person do repent, and do the right thing. My view is God did not ask for it, the people decided to do it. I might get stoned by Christians and Jews for this ,,,,,,,,,but it does not make sense to me.
