Loving your content. I just rolled a lock in SOD a couple weeks ago, and I'm working on getting myself sorted for pvp. I'm going to try and reach rank 7 in a 2 week period to get my pvp set and replace some of my greens (who knows what'll drop on raid night, right?). What is your position on immolation aura when the felhunter is out? I feel like it's good for destealthing rogues.

Cool video i always support warlocks trying to help others with PVP. I am a former multi R1 lock and i like how you kept you getting sheeped in the video as a teaching moment hehe. You brought up some good points about the Felhunter but don't forget Paranoia too as stoping the opener from rogues or finding druid flag carriers creeping can lead to easy wins! And the felpups offensive and defensive dispel capabilities paired with a spellstone just make it unmatched in PvP, then make a @mouseover devour magic macro to dispell teammates and you will always get invited back to bg groups. In regards to UA it should be your top damage now as they buffed it by 100% and now works properly with haunt as well, UA with a simple mouseover banish macro should give someone using the felguard real problems lol . I see 500+ UA crit ticks regularly now and snap shoting Demonic Grace is the way too do it, DG was really slept on but helps haunt and searing pain crit alot as well. And one thing i did notice is you should keep underwater breathing and see invisible up too protect your Demon Armor, most inexperienced warlocks have devour on auto and losing your armor first global is never fun lol. yes and no : demonology is only viable from lvl 40, as you need 1 point in Soul Link. Also: Playing without Improved Corruption is not ideal for leveling as you want to be putting corruption on all mobs, therefore I wouldnt spec demonology until lvl 45. Lvl 1-44 Affliction (paired with Haunt and Master Channeler Runes) will be your best bet.

thats totally optional. i never use imp and never use void sac. thats why i put in fel int. Usual/standard SL spec is 3/3 improved voidwalker instead.

why not run dance of the wicked for the dodge equal to spell crit + not having to life tap as much? maybe you talked about it and I missed it. it is a lot less SP from summon but you get the 30% crit for the few sec + dodge. i guess it'd be situation dependent and personal pref im so torn between running felguard and UA. i need to get felhunter then ill switch to UA again lovin the vids. just subbed

I watched the video the first time, gave me a lot of great insight. I dont think you should throw afflic completely out the window yet im have a ton of fun with it, yes it is alot of squishy but i think its more deadly. If a pally or priest dispells its and instant 1400 dmg plus the extra 6 yards you can cast and nightfall procs are great. Thanks for the video again

You are absolutely correct that rotation should be drain life before corruption/coa. However versus priests, one could argue that putting corruption first gives you one more debuff as dispel protection. Never know if the priest you face actually presses dispel or not.

With UA finally benefitting from Haunt (hotfixed), Affliction has become more viable. Also , you get to use demonic pact on leggings which boosts Raid DPS. In terms of own DPS , Affliction is currently simming about 10-15% lower than Destro. The biggest issue is that we cannot use Curse of Agony, as we need 3 Curses in Raid (Shadows, Elements and Recklessness) Checkout Warlock Discord and especially the SoD Warlock Build Survey done by Niche :)

Tx mate. I’ll do that absolutely. I was always an aff demo guy and just don’t wanna play destro. It’s just a fire mage imo but to each their own. Of course it sucks playing a build that really is less than you could bring. Dungeons just feel so bad as affliction compared to destro. They need to add sow to seeds or something to allow dots to make a difference . With raids of course it’s much better but really they need to help afff in the dung world. But maybe that’s the trade off with PvP dominance lol. Thanks again. Great vid.

21:57 Lol. Been saying it since p1. Giving up fear is crazy to me. I'll never forget being in AB when before the gate opened, an orc shammy says, "go meta, noob" I think I'll pass. I'm going to play this tomorrow and see if I like it more than aff, which I like for bgs. I like having CoE in bgs, juiced drain life from SM, grim reach, and nightfall. I've been going down to SM and putting remaining points in 2/2 imp healthstone 5/5 demonic embrace 3/3 improved VW for in larger shield. Shield is 2k and I use it to offset some affliction squishiness. Now that pandemic crits trigger shadow and flame I've been using that. I am also a fan of demonic grace which is even better now that we have pandemic. The dodge is also nice.

Hey m8, check my old videos, I have been saying the same about Meta for quite a while, haha. I currently use Demonic Grace again too and think its best. Affli is not for me, as too squishy, but i agree the offensive potential in bgs is nice.

It depends on the situation tbh. Meta with destruction offers many benefits like being more tanky vs melee, being able burst and damage-wise it's pretty solid. For BGs I choose SL. For bloodmoon I'll always pick destro for last hitting and getting blood. (Can't rely on dot damage to kill enemies) IDK about affliction. I hate being 1-shotted by Rogues/Shamans/Paladins/Warriors/Hunters lol. And being forced to play with VW over Felhunter feels bad.

I mean.... nice video and all with all the guide. However, I despise the notion that some of these people who are in full pvp gear opening up on people who are just charging down the road is somehow devolves down to: "I applied my dots and they just randomly die - they're a bot or something" Most of the time, I am probably alt tabbed reading something and checking my direction every 5-10 seconds or so to redirect my character. this obsession with the debased and degenerate form of world pvp is what kills classic pvp servers eventually. world pvp becomes the more degenerate you are- the more you can grief- the better you are. Make a video of only where you let people open on you and then you kill them and we are talking
