You did an excellent job on that. Very nice build, and trimmed for a very strong flight pattern. In terms of stability and performance, you would be competitive at the US Nationals. Make sure to always set the dethermalizer, and set up a radio beacon if possible. With 4 strands of 4.8mm rubber, you should get 1200 turns pretty easily (use a blast tube). After your contest, try a Gollywock! 😀

I haven't built a model in 30 years, and that really takes me back. Are you using dope to adhere your tissue to the frame? I always used 1/2 water to 1/2 white glue for that, and it worked much better. Also used alcohol to shrink, as it evaporates faster than water, giving less time for warping. Nice work!

Yes right. I do the same, but for finishing not using dope, only clear spray liquer
