A suggestion for the video: 1 Wear a lighter colored shirt. A dark gun is difficult to see against a dark background. 2 Keep the pistol lower, closer to a light colored table and a camera angle slightly down. to better show the interior of the pistol. 3 Get the camera closer to actually show what is described. 4 Focus. Recently changed triggers on my full size P 320, went to a flat trigger. Several newer pistols by several manufacturers have such a curved trigger then in firing the end of the trigger digs into my finger uncomfortably. Flat trigger, no problem.

I love if you would do a video on removing the take down lever of the 320 when you want to remove the fcu, which for me seems to be a bit difficult, I currently have it in a compact carry frame, but I prefer the xcompact frame, my problem is that I can't get the take down lever out of the xcarry frame presently, but I have not been able to find any videos detailing that, love the sig pistols though & especially the take down lever over the glock style

@SIG SAUER Academy: got a question......"How often should the P320 be field-stripped for cleaning and lubrication"? Because I purchased one back in October and fired around 300-rounds at the range so far, and is my concealed carry weapon.
@TerminalM1932 жыл бұрын
I take care of my carry/home defense options WAY more than range guns. Every single time my carry fires more than a box of ammo "50" it's taken down to field strip level and cleaned. It's an extremely simple process and even easier if you have a bore snake. I recommend picking up clenzoil CLP. It has by far the best viscosity of all other CLPs and is 100% safe on any part of your firearm all the way from wood, polymer, aluminum or any kind of metal. Cleans beautifully and actually protects longer than any other clp. Before adding any kind of CLP wipe out whatever you can with a dry rag/patch and then apply a liberal coat of clp to the entire gun, do some scrubbing and simply wipe off any access and you're done.
@DrQuagmire12 жыл бұрын
@@TerminalM193 I do have Breakfree CLP that I use when taking my guns down to field-strip level for cleaning, and the stuff works rather well
@DavidLLambertmobile2 жыл бұрын
I'd clean, field strip my P320 or carry gun after each range use. Clean the barrel, check the magazines, carry ammunition too. CLP or gun oil can seep into pistol mags. I currently use Slip 2000 EWL, as shown in the video. ✔ Ballistol is good too. No fumes or harsh chemicals. Do not shoot 500, 2000, 5000 handgun rounds & avoid basic cleaning 🚫. Your firearm can last years if you maintain it correctly.
@DavidLLambertmobile2 жыл бұрын
@@TerminalM193 Good tips. I use Froglube 🐸 for years(since 2014 era). The CLP is good but I saw a few recent reviews saying Clenzoil CLP is better. ✔ Slip 2000 EWL as shown in the SIG video works well on most guns. I spray firearms with a solvent, then brush or clean the lead, crud, grit out. I then apply a light coat of CLP. I strip and clean magazines too but avoid gun oils, CLP. That can seep into the springs, cases.
@TerminalM1932 жыл бұрын
@@DavidLLambertmobile I used to use frog lube too until I saw a video here on KZbin where this guy made his own viscosity tester where he would apply friction to a peice of metal over a period of time and would measure the amperage of his machine needing to stay on the same speed as well as measure the friction damage afterwards.... The frog lube did 2nd to worst with the viscosity and that was using the grease too.... Was a bummer. I immediately hung up the frog lube lol....

I see it from 2014 through this week, many owners have a problem getting the slide back on the FCU/Frame. Mine stops like it hit a brick wall, a complete, instant, solid, stop about 1/2 inch before it's fully on the slide, let alone sliding back to cock. I've done the upside down trick, played with the guide rod and spring over and over again. My brand new P320, arrived late yesterday, became completely useless. After enough playing around, I managed to get the slide on but every time I go through the same thing. I had high hopes for this gun but it's going to be a safe queen if I can't get that fixed.

I have a 2019 model I have taken apart and put together numerous times with no issues. I got a newer version (2022) and first time I reassembled it I had the same exact problem. Look at your recoil guide spring assembly. The "roundish" head that seats onto the barrel. That recoil spring likely has a pair of flat edges around the ends of the oval shape. That flat edge should be seated on the barrel. If you seat the rounded edge it will not let the slide go back on the frame. It was maddening for me until I found a video. Then I read the owners manual and it specifically points this out. RTFM hits home. lol I compared recoil springs and sure enough, my older 2019 model has a complete circle head with no flat edges.

I have a question, so i just bought a brand new sig sauer m17 and started using gunzilla clp on it, is clp fine and safe for polymer? Is it going to dissolve the polymer or any plastic parts in the gun? Cause you know the clp will drop on the frame from the slide
@TerminalM1932 жыл бұрын
I'm not familiar with that CLP but I can tell you the absolute best and proven CLP for a legion or sig or any firearm for that matter is clenzoil clp. It's got the best viscosity of all other CLPs, cleans like one of the best and also actually protects WAY longer than any other CLP and what's great is that it's 100% safe on any kind of coating, polymer, wood, aluminum, metal.... Litteraly EVERYTHING a gun is made out of it won't hurt it one bit. It's also got a nice smell to it compared to others. I even use the stuff on my nice leather work boots and pretty much all of my tools and it keeps them all extremely clean looking. My boots absolutely love the stuff and drink it right up and allows the next cleaning to be super easy because of the non greasy coat it leaves behind.
@DavidLLambertmobile2 жыл бұрын
Gunzilla brand CLP was trendy in the GWOT 🌏 era, 2000s. That, Weaponshield, Break Free CLP, Froglube 🐸, Ed's Red, Hoppes Gun Medic, Slip 2000, LPX(a gun brand I used), Ballistol. In 2022, most gunners say get a decent non toxic CLP with 0 or little use of petroleum 🛢. Read the labels and see what the gun oil, CLP has. Many shooters like Clenzoil. I might buy the CLP & barrel rods too. I used Ballistol 🇩🇪 for years. It's non toxic, no harsh fumes. Works on wood, metal, rubber. It has great ⛺🚗🛶🚤🏠 uses too. Hinges, pulley, hoses, locks, rails.

At no point did you talk about visual inspection of the barrel, the slide or ANY of the components, nor did you speak about the kinds of defects or potential damaged components to watch for in this particular weapon. Not surprising since the average gun owner has the mental capacity of a large rock that you can find beside any road in America. This video contains no information that you would not find in the owners manual. This video is about as useful as the owners manual in your new Chevy telling you how to operate the stereo. IMO He points at parts of the weapon he is talking about by indicating with his finger while pointing at black gun components that simply vanish into his Black shirt, making the parts he is talking about virtually invisible as the detail washes out with his shirt color choice. More importantly there are NO close-up shots of the gun or the individual parts, also there are NO graphics to give gun owners a sharp image of the components you speak of. This presentation may as well have been prepared for a Radio program, because the benefit of this being a video is lost in the total absence of any production values that would help consumers to properly inspect their weapon while cleaning the unit. This video is of sufficient low quality in production values, that it may as well been used as a Cue card in a Podcast. A handgun is likely the very First weapon ever owned by a consumer, so a little more attention should have been given to production values because the new owner of this weapon is probably looking at this piece of Iron as the very first time he has ever serviced and maintained such a piece of personal protection in his or her lifetime. Just sayin'.
