@@spartan_gainz4198 I was lucky to be blessed with a father so I can't begin to understand what that's even close to being like. My sincerest condolences. My uncle offed himself with a gun so they were demonized in my home. As a result I can relate to having to resort to finding the information independently however. This man is helping so many people. I just hope one day I'll be able to teach myself enough via KZbin and other sources to go hunting one day. It's been a dream of mine. As building and owning an edc p320 was. It's honestly sad how modern society has disconnected us from becoming truly independent. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the guns and may good things come your way.

I had a hard time figuring out how to reassemble it following my exuberance to disassemble it. I didn't realize you had to lock the slide to allow the takedown lever to rotate. I am amazed at how simple this gun is to take down. THANKS for a great video!

Craig Fuhr First gun? You're also probably new to the ammo game... www.ammospy.net, but stay away from STEEL AMMO and REMANUFACTURED AMMO! Steel isn't flexible like brass; it expands, but won't contract, so it won't properly eject from your weapon! 1000 rounds of .40S&W will normally run you approximately $250, so $12.50 for a 50 round box. What do you pay at an outdoor store? $30 for 50 rounds? Save where you can! Winchester purple box (training ammo) is $10.99/50 rounds! www.outdoorlimited.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=q4409

Same i just got my first gun and its this exact same gun sig p320 full size it was hard for me to decide between full size and the compact but went with full size and this vid helped me alot with cleaning it i only fired about 40 rounds but cleaned it anyway mainly just to learn how love this gun and im working on getting my carry permit its very easy in tn actually as of july 1st 2014 your allowed to keep it loaded in your car as long as its a legal gun and registered to you and i've been bringing it with me alot recently since my brother almost got robbed went to meet a guy to sell a ipad pro and guy grabbed it and started running my brother fired his 9mm smith and Wesson shield once up in the air he stopped running in his tracks so luckily he had it in his car or he'd of been robbed of almost a $1000 ipad. Also i have sig FMJ for range, sig hollow points for home defense, and i just got a box of blazer fmj to test out the gun because it was only $10 a box of 50 but it seemed to do ok but wasnt really trying just testing out the gun i bought a box of 100 of federal ammunition fmj to use at the gun range but will test out to see if its just as good if not better than the sig fmj. also got 1 box federal range ammo only tried the federal and blazer so far. dont want to waste alot of the sig it was $20 a box

The use of Gun Scrubber or Powder Blast after you have loosened up all the fouling does a great job of getting rid of all of it in short order. Follow up with another round of solvent cleaning and repeat the process as necessary. Finally spraying Sheath Rust Preventative down the barrel and on all the metal surfaces following up with a clean patch to remove any excess will leave a coating that will not allow fingerprinting on the metal. All the friction services are coated with Firepower FP-10 Lubricate Ellite, a drop of each rail letting gravity work it down the entire rail and wiping off the excess. I like to use Butches Bore Shine, discovered it after buying a Lilija Barrel, which is hand lapped and top quality accuracy, I haven't found a better solution for cleaning in short order. Also I sometimes use Sweets 7.62, and also the old stand by Hoppes but not so much using Hoppes at this time. I have just bought some CLP but haven't tried it yet and another similar product....but for my most expensive target pistols and rifles I use the process as previously noted. Thanks for the article on the Sig P320 as I have just purchases one and like to know what to do before attempting to disassembling it for cleaning. Looks fairly straight forward and easy.

Good video for as far as you go. A good field strip and cleaning is much better than nothing. The beauty of the P320 is that you can also break down the FCU, extractor and striker assemblies. If you don’t feel confident going into that detail, take your weapon to your friendly neighborhood gunsmith and he or she can clean down to the sear housing for you.

This video was a huge help! I watched this video the very first time I cleaned my Sig P320 SC and it was explained so clearly. The only thing that I had trouble with the first time (and couldn't find a description in any other video) was the correct way to put the spring back in. The spring has a flat end and a rounded end. It took me some time to learn that the slide wouldn't pull back to lock into place because the spring was loaded in wrong. The spring needs to go on the barrel with the rounded end placed on it.

Don't buy cheap steel shit because you WILL have constant failures; it won't extract! I personally don't take the chance on shooting remanufactured ammo... If the person didn't set the primer correctly, then the round is going to blowup in your gun. Was saving $50 on ammo worth ruining a $500 gun? Don't take the chance... Yes, CLP. Stands for "cleaning, lubricant, protectant". Some say it's not as good as separate cleaner and oil, but many people use it as a do it all. He was using CLP.
@azcharlie20095 жыл бұрын
I found that the manual for the P320 calls for "CLP". But since CLP is kind of a generic term, maybe you can use the separate solvent and oil. I read somewhere else that modern ammo burns much cleaner than some of the older stuff. Maybe you don't need so much solvent anymore?

I use Balistol...I soak the barrel good...clean inside and out. The upper and lower get brushing with a clean and dry tooth brush to clean and use just a bit of Balistol on the parts which interact with the upper and lower (very little)...spraying and soaking the slide and lower only attracts powder and grime. a dry slick gun functions much better than a wet oiled gun. If you're familiar with cast iron skillets and how to clean, it's the same concept. Oil residue attracts dirt and makes gun cleaning more difficult. Although, It's your gun...do what you want...just my two cents...

brentfoto, first, pull the slide back into battery and lock it. Next, pull the release lever down to the 6 o'clock position. Does the P320 require more cleaning than a Glock? I always just use a dry toothbrush to get the carbon out of the slide, and other surfaces that are dirty. I found that I didn't need to use CLP or anything else. I'll use cleaner on the barrel, and put a tiny amount of oil on the slide rails, but that's about it.
