No active mic, only headset function. If you use the jack input for a set of earplugs with an inline mic you might get mic function there when taking Bluetooth on cell phone. Try using earlug/mic combo into the earplugs jack.

I used to own the same pair of these and let me tell ya, THE ARE TERRIBLE. The sound quality is okay, but I heard better from earbuds that are $5. the headphones only charges up to 80% and dies within an hour, but the they held up for a couple of months until they blew out.
