I just cleared pit 45 with my barbarian without much min_maxing, I'll definitely have time to play different builds with my characters, and even perhaps more characters. I never had enough time to play around with the multiple builds and find my way around. I'm not the type to go to KZbin to find the best builds, I try to do it myself, it's more fun, but sometimes it feels like cheating, clearing pit in 2 minutes is kind of broken, but ok, I'm happy, it gives me the full power fantasy

This is like the Destiny 2 and warframe debate. Both can occupie the same space, but tbh no casual person is going to spend 60+ hours every 3 months just to try out a new mechanic or hit the same milestone you already completed. D4 speeds you through the process, and that's okay. I can hop on spend 4-5 hrs playing and get off. Everything shouldn't require my entire life

@cryxbaby2250 Those are the two most compatible games in the looter shooter genre. Warframe being better or worse is all down to opinion. The only thing I was pointing out was that there are people who enjoy both for different reasons. Destany 2 can be a challenging game, raide that takes hours to complete, PvP, and much more. Those are the reasons people have been playing d2 for years. Warframe is a power fantasy with a great community, but it's not challenging, and the pvp is a dead zone. Both are great games, but people play them for different reasons

Are you guys playing season 7 or eternal? I have a full time job and 2 kids. I played a couple hours last night and a couple hours this morning and my character is already level 30. The reason I ask is the Head Hunt (green areas in Season 7) give a lot of experience. If you are using an elixir and incense, they both give experience when they are being used to help you level up faster.

I love D4 and hope they add a lot of the things you mention, but mainly we need a leaderboard in some of the content. 1- Right off the bat a leaderboard for pits and paragon level is easy and would make things much more fun for a lot of people. 2- Uber fights are sorely needed, even if they did not drop rewards but instead had a microtransaction tied to them every season that would be amazing. 3- Personally I like Nightmare dungeons, they are the true old school run and grind mechanic, but they should greatly improve the amount of materials that drop within them. 4- I am about 18 hours into my character right now and I am not plowing through like you say you do, I think D4 has the perfect balance of hardcore verse casual progress. All in all, I like D4 WAY MORE than PoE 2. PoE 2 makes me feel like I am playing a game on atari, it is so slow and impossible to understand 90% of what is going on. PoE 1 is a great game that most ARPG's should emulate, but that being said D4 is 100% the best ARPG for gamers that only have a couple hours a week to play.

D4 is just much more fun then PoE2... Poe2 is slow and boring af and minions r garbage in poe2.. I stopped playing poe2 and went back to D4 before S7 dropped.. I was having fun and love that my minions were actually fighting and living and the fact I was actually able to move and not feel like I was walking with cement blocks on my character... Poe2 bosses r amazing but the loot is so garbage that it doesn't even matter.. D4 for me 100%

Season 7 feels great so far… as a dad with 17 kids and 38 jobs I have limited time. But doing a few dungeons, whispers, pits, hordes, bosses in an hour or two every now and then is just perfect. Even with zero button pushes and a lazy as f**k build my Necro minions blast through T1 and got me into T2… I might start now playing the actual game 😂 Love it

I’m a Diablo fanboy and I also love PoE2 after 200hrs despite feeling tortured at times. Coming back to D4 S7 has been great. After 30hrs so far, for me it feels like there’s so much to do I don’t know what to do first. I like that. They both have their place and are great games in my view.

I am really baffled by all the complaints coming from especially all the content creators. When D4 came out it was a slow game (relative to arpgs) and even getting to 100 was an achievement. Then the community including most content creators kept on wanting faster progression, easier loot, easier ubers etc etc. The devs listened and now everyone is complaining. Don't get me wrong, I agree the game is too fast too easy (although I still enjoy it). I am a person who likes the journey more than the end game so I would prefer the progression of season zero or if I were to meet half way, progression speed at season 2 max. But I still believe that the community and content creators are also partially to blame.

This is a silly comment I see way too often. Firstly, you have misrepresented what people said. A good example is the KZbinr Raxx. He said specifically in a video last year, "content content content.". he has also said that leveling could be faster. I don't know why you would mislead people by trying to suggest players wanted one without the other. It's like one of those lame wish givers that grant you immortality, but you are a slave forever. is that really what the person wished for? literally no one asked d4 to increase the speed of leveling, just to have zero meaningful content at the end.

​@@iksaglam Speaking of that journey. I still find it very disappointing that d4 hasn't found a way to re-use the campaign. endgame content doesn't have to be a raid. Destiny 2 has made daily missions out of sections of their campaign. if the rewards are good and the content isn't too easy, I think a lot of people would be happy to see something similar.

I’m still enjoying D4 because I didn’t played the past 3 seasons. I recently quit POE2 for several reasons: Whatever op build you have, you still get one shot for some dumb reason and It’s quite stressful having just one shot for some things like the Pinnacle Boss that u have a chance to drop THE belt (forgot the name) and instantly losing 7+ divs on it. You can’t “play the game right” on your own without using the trade site to get better gear; with a inflated market atm. But i know that with a couple more hours, it will be a pain in the ass in D4 too. Sad

I mean… I rarely die to bosses, but that one in specific, I’ve had to look on KZbin how to kill him as I would not want to lose that expensive material trying it out and losing. And I still died on the first time and that pissed me off pretty hard. And that was one of the reasons. Every death in POE2 is so stressful that I wasn’t enjoying anymore

I'm having fun with it. I had to go through the Vessel of Hatred journey as I didn't finish it last season. Everyone that rushes through the content or skip the journey is missing out but that is the state of gaming these days. Also as a 57 year old playing since the original Diablo, I appreciate getting to experience areas of the game I couldn't get to only playing on the weekend. I also like to tinker with different builds and classes, again enjoyable for me.

Nothing wrong with D4, but I play Rogue and the ability to move while shooting plus the look of the game just make me feel like I'm playing a PS4 game. I enjoyed my D4 gaming since release but for me it is time to move on. Might play it for nostalgia in a couple a year or so. I will still be checking your content for it!

My best game ever made was Witcher 3. With the expansion that was 177 hours for me, total... Then never played again and I loved it. I love a few weeks of fun then move on to the many other forms of entertainment out there. Go back with a ew season, do the journey, etc. Games that need hundreds and hundreds of hours I don't even start as I'm in my 40s, kids, and I own a company so I spend my time on those things.

Diablo gearing is just so bad! There is no excitement at all in gear drops. Nothing like getting a wand to drop with (+5 levels to all lightning spells) in Poe 2 with t11 mana .😁😁

This idea with "modifications" to the infernal hordes sound like a great idea. Undercity already have this (more weapons, more runes...). They could make a similar system to the hordes, like "5 more waves", "alle monsters are champions"... One modifier for Torment 1 up to 4 modifiers on T4.

One thing I enjoyed about Diablo 3 was the Rare combo Items. I guess you could call them mythic unique now. All I remember is that they were green and came in sets of 3. Each of them had a specific affix you couldn't find on any other weapon, armor and jewelry. If you equipped your character with with one or two of these items it was ok, but not great (affix wise)... but if you had all 3 equipped, you would unlock the true power, unlock a powerful aspect so great that it was worth playing the extra hours just to get ALL 3 (don't quote me on this, but I think you also unlocked a 4th affix on all 3 items). The quest was more fun than the farm. Now it's all about farming for your quest to get higher affixes of what you already have and/or get Mythic... it gets redundant! This season is probably the first season where I didn't enjoy lvling up to lvl 60... and where I don't quite know what to do!

I liked more the pace and loot dencity of the last season. It was too easy to Level and my char was full with legendarys in 5 min. It doesnt need to take days to Level your char, but decisions i take should make an impact into my leveling Prozess. The way it is right now, we have to talk about loot Filters again.

D4 has plenty of endgame activities. What people mean when they say, "D4 doesn't have an endgame" is that it doesn't have a meta progression skill tree system that helps you juice specific end game activities. T4 is absolutely not hard enough, though.

I agree the content needs more innovation. Gives us more diversity in the gameplay itself. Aswell they really need to get rid of limited tempers with how awful the RNG is and cap out the enchanting gold cost. Aside from this the games still fun.

I still enjoy D4 even now, but i am a casual gamer who works for a living as well as run my own YT channel with all sorts of content so the time needed to spends hours that are required (like POE/2) is just not there. I do understand those who enjoy the more challenging aspects of POE and such but i just dont have the time to bang my head through a wall to try and keep playing that game. D4 allows me to just come in, blast, level, and have a little fun before i move onto something else for the day.

More scalability for endgame content (Infernal Hordes, Nightmare Dungeons, Undercity etc) is truly what the game is missing right now, just like you said. You can scale the Pit, need to be able to scale the rest as well, at least to a certain degree. I'm not sure I 100% agree with the "levelling to 60" argument though. It's just a game design illusion, since after level 60 you have to get 300 levels of Paragon, which are arguably even too grind atm. It seems to be two separate things, but it's actually the same exact thing, you're gathering XP to get new "levels". Even if the game devs separate them into two different groups (levels and paragons) they're the same thing really. As a matter of fact original diablo4 tried to condense it and the real race was to get to level 100, which was much slower than current level 60, but still much faster than current paragon 300. Personally I think the overall XP required to reach 300 should be lowered, and the curve should be smoothed. It shouldn't take 2hrs to reach 60 and that much to reach paragon 300, especially in a game flow like that of "seasonal", where it makes sense that things are faster because you're gonna have to re-do them from scratch in 2 months after all. If I recall levelling in D3 seasons was much faster than in non-seasonal D3, right?

Content and pace is accessible to everyone and fun...but without Leaderboards, you won't have the player retention for the more competitive players because there's currently no reason to grind min/max. I think this season is great, I think the pace is wonderful...just need leaderboards!!

Poe 2 is ass and will be for a few years. What makes poe good was all the different things you could do. Poe 2 endgame is about as fun as a hole in the ground. I can't force myself to play it anymore. Im playing D4 til Poe 3.26.

For my bloodwave. Until i get certain gear. For farming I swapped out [LordXSaura's build] grasping veins for gore quills. And I run Lance. True my damage goes down but as soon as you have the pants, and fastblood, you have more than enough to farm everything. I can choose to run around get get blood orbs, but casting gore quills and moving forward is fun. Currently in T4 farming the seasonal rep. Everything dies in 1-2 blood waves (Zir, Varshan, the headless thing). Would love a guide on getting missing powers. Those alters... we should know at the start of the dubgeon if an alter is there.

To the poeple watching this vid, If you want diablo to be funner and last longer most people need to stop copying other builds. Making the build and trying new load outs is more than half of the game. Fine tune your own build! Isn't that how the game is supposed to be played. It's kind of lame when you first got to t4 and you go into a helltide, and every single person is using quill volley on the blood maiden 😂

The player defines how the game should be played. There are different ways. Some people play the game to relax and don't have the time or urge to puzzle a new build and just start with a guide. Nothing wrong with that if that is fun to that player.

Most people are looking up builds and glitches complaining the game is too easy. If the game was too easy, why do you need a build guide? Forever games are a concept not a reality. Content creators want forever games because they can monetize with video after video. Games end up like Destiny 2 with disposable recycled content, because the demand of the delivery schedule is too high for anything else.

A creator whom i always loved is now doing that. He has done a couple videos, voice really flat and gone back to POE. I have switched to following you. I got the pants Torment 2. Only 750 damage and an average roll. Went from 1 million to 500 million damage.

I completely given up the game... why i should "waste" even 2h to just start a game? everything You do before lvl60 i worthless... and even after that You just "starting to play a game"... And that "game" (end game) is shallow... In PoE2 i starting the game just when i started the game... And after that it's just better and better... And it's only a early access. Don;t get me wrong, i'm really sad about that but Diablo just losed it spirit... Now Diablo games are just a little better versions of it's mobile version. And now i think that Diablo Immortal is better than D4/D3... If You d'like easy and semi mindless gameplay on the go then is better to grab Your phone and play DI... But when You d'like real PC/console H&S expirence then it's better to grab PoE (even first one but second is way better).

I'm playing a Necro and I haven't payed Diablo 4 in a long time. I was heart broken to find out if you skip campaigns, it doesn't open up areas that are in acts. For example, the leggards for the Necro from Lord Zir. I can't do that becuse I haven't done Act I in season 7. I find myself struggling to get items and figure out how to get things done.

I agree with you. On the one hand S7 is really lucrative: in S6 I had, at the most, about 150 million gold. In S7 I already have 1/2 billion, and didn't even grind for it. legendaries are dropping like pigeon sh*t in Paris, and everything seems much easier. Too easy maybe, so yes I'd love some extra challenges in the hordes, I think it's a great idea. But still, haven't come across a single mythic unique...

After having played several characters in PoE2 and 300hrs - PoE2 has a lot of changes they need to make for it to actually be fun in the endgame. Diablo 4 fortunately has it to some extent. It is shallow but it does still have a well rounded endgame.

Two things. Even if you are a one class only enjoyer, you now got the armory (THANK GOD!) with 5 loadouts. So after you finished your first farm build, just go and try out multiple different builds. Taking a Necro as an example, minion, blood wave, bone spirit all play vastly different. Go out and explore and have fun with it. If you are not someone like Rob, or Wudijo, a new buil will take you some time to get going. The other thing is, the leveling in D4. First of all, I love these season powers, that kill stuff for me on lower difficulties. Like perfect alt gear, it is IMO just fun to be overpowered in low level. But the most important thing for me, when it comes to leveling, is the time it takes and HOW it is done. I am a veteran Diabloe (2/3/4) and POE1/2 player and leveling in POE just drains my will to play the game. I simply HATE it to the core. Even tho I am somewhat fast (~5,5-6hrs on a fresh league launch), it is just no fun. I would love to get low level maps to get you char to level 70, before you can start with real maps. Especially since I am somebody, that plays multiple alts per season / league.

The reason I say Diablo 4 have no endgame is this: Endgame is what you should do when you have your char levelled and geared. In Diablo 4 you do the "endgame" while you level up your spec, resulting in when having your top spec, there is nothing more to do. You only have the same pits that you already did while levelling, just bosses/mobs having more HP and dmg. It's a joke!

Give us endless NMD’s with with levels which become harder and harder. Than we have harder content and materials. Now it is useless to develop another expansion because people are gone by then after the release of VoH we had over 40 people online in the clan, now only about 20. And that is not only because of poe2, there is just nothing to do.

The problem with D4 is they have taken so long to get to this point that I just don't see the game taking the next step that it needs. Ever season the last 3-4 seasons they have been fixing major systems or adding in systems that players wanted that should have been in the game from the start.

Nice video, i agree with almost all of your points. I think improving pvp would help as well. My clan all pushes the first month and then just messes around with pvp. If D4 could make an endgame system similar to that of POE i think everyone would be happy. They could even throw some cows in there.

Back on d4 since season 2 or so. Only played necro. Decided to run rogue and it's been enjoyable so far. That said I am a very casual gamer so the quick pace is nice for the small windows I have here and there to play.

I want them to improve the pinnacle boss experience. One shotting the hardest bosses in the game on the hardest difficulty is so ridiculous. Killing them hundreds of times for a 1% chance at mythic drops is equally lame

Rod and Joe Shely need to post a video explaining their vision for the future. Half ass paid expansions with minimal seasonal content is going to bury them. Which will force them to stop with expansions altogether as the company looks for more profitable ventures. These are all self inflicted wounds by the way.

I think the game is missing key features like leaderboards as you said. I want a cube I want to farm items and roll for a chance at a mythic or a combination that can add a random GA or you can upgrade a great low lvl item to max lvl. Or a 6 wave horde to a 10 wave. I started the season with a stinger spiritborn and im having a lot of fun, my only complaint is the seasonal rank up, im at the level where I need 400 whispers for the next rank up, this, this is not a fun activity at all, your pigeoned holed into this one activity when there are 6 others activities you could be doing to rank up but no they lock us into a certain boring activity to rank up. sure you can run world bosses and legion events to get whispers but legions only give you 1 whisper and world bosses give you I think its 3 or 5.

To be fair to Diablo 4, they have come a long way since launch. Leaderboards would be massive I think, like all the stuff you do to masterwork, upgrade powers and what not is essentially there to improve your character so you can run higher pits, as you will be able to do T4 far before you're fully done. Problem I have today is that if I do Pit 118, spending a few days extra masterworking, perfecting tempers etc so I can manage 120 feels a bit pointless - but if that could take me from rank 352 to top 10 on the class leaderboard, then it's a different story and what would inspire me to do it. The problem with this though is the build and character depth is also a bit shallow and balance isn't great. If we had this today the top necro board would be only blood wave, they would all have the same gear and talents. I play SSF in POE and each season my goal is to just try something new or something I enjoyed and havent played in a while and manage to get all the stuff and kill all the bosses. This takes me quite some time (I'm not great at it) but it's quite a different journey each season. If I had something similar in D4, like each season I'm gonna make a char and push it to Pit150. This could work for me in theory, but in practise it can't because there is always a few builds that trivialize it, some few others that can reach it, and majority can only dream of it. I like playing the firewall sorc, getting to T4 and that stuff, sure, easy, pushing pit is pointless gonna be 70 levels below some other build I could have played anyways, so it all cooks into this soup of pointlessness in p[laying this character. :) So every D4 league I'm happy to play it, I enjoy it, and after 3-4-days I'm just done, by then I have all the aspects and had some fun and it's just pointless to continue.

I posted this previously, but it is relevant here: My main issue is "greater difficulty should give greater reward." I want Blizzard to entice me to keep the game on as high a difficulty as I can manage, because "the rewards will be worth it." Right now, it is just the opposite -- "keep it on easy mode and you will climb faster." This just bores me to death. Also, a side issue is that it's taken them 7 (!) seasons to finally make Summoner Necromancer viable. BUT, now it is SO powerful that probably EVERYBODY is playing it, and not because they like that build, but because it is "so powerful". This actually pisses me off alot. I want more balance -- not just between classes, but also between builds within the classes. (PS, I did not log in this season).

I played diablo 3 plus all seasons till d4 came out. I await the torment upgrade in a few seasons. Diabl 4 is great for the casual players. Poe2 is a grindfest that makes you grind till your bored.

Ya, they just need to iterate on the stuff they already have. especially like your example with infernal hordes. it's by far my favorite content and if they add more options it'll be a blast. And I know people will be like well i just want to be able to do one single activity like the pit, but I argue that having multiple sources of power is more interesting (masterworking from nmd for example)

i'm a casual "gamer" and i want "just to have fun". i enjoy the season, and, actually i more enjoying the leveling rather the EG. i feel the "advancement" there, became stronger, get new skills and such. in EG (so far) all activity is just grinding with the virtually unfeasible differences... so, i leveled two characters to lvl60 and going to level another two, and only then - will go to T2-T4...

armory as an nice addition but it doesn't get everything which is kinda lame. its like semi-done. it gets your paragon points, your skill points and your gear. It still doesn't change merchaneries + doesn't change the witch options. (Still great to have but wish it was fully done). and why they don't implement import build option for paragon points. like normal world of wacraft have for builds import export option). as u said bosses needs to have more torment option so more % chance can be done, but still kinda to stop selling bosses will would happen like that

IMHO the progression could be incredible in diablo. They already have all the stuff in the game, they just don't utilize it. They could rip off just a few key parts of what works so well in PoE. Step 1) Don't gate specific progression stuff behind specific content, Step 2) Convert upgrades to currency you have to pick up. But greatly increase the meaningfullness of those drops. E.g. 1 currency drop to add 4 mastery levels. 1 currency drop to add 30 levels to a glyph. Step 3) Compress the paragon system by 10x. That thing is way too big and a chore. But also increase the power of nodes by 10x so you feel every upgrade. Step 4) Get rid of greater affixes and drop a currency that converts 1 stat into a greater affix. With these changes you could play however you like and are actually excited when upgrades drop or get a paragon level. Right now you are stuck in a tornado of meaningless small upgrades and you neither are excited about loot nor feel the progression.

I like the game for what it is. It's nice to have an more "easy" rpg to turn to after failing 5 times on an POE2 boss. It's calming. I would like to have more storylines like in the campaing.

I have been moving on after a week or 2 of a new season for the past few seasons (except for the expansion cause i wanted to try all the new content), because i always reach the point where i could grind more to min/max my gear and tempers, but what am i doing it for when my build oneshots the hardest bosses in the game and makes pit 100 look like a joke and theres no reason to push the pit you get nothing out of it, not even a spot on a leaderboard, theres just nothing aspirational about D4's endgame
