As newer versions have many features than older versions why companies don't migrate to new version? What happens to applications developed in older versions for which support ends?

Thanks buddy 😊 That's a very good doubt buddy. We are using a small project which hardly consists of 100 classes but in real time some projects may contain more than 10k classes. So in order to upgrade the java version, company has to invest lot of amount and time in it. After upgrading, company has to make sure that there are no new bugs introduced because of upgrade. So due to all of these things companies don't upgrade very often.

When you are installing a new version of java, you don't need to delete the old one buddy. You can go to the control panel -> uninstall programs and then select the java version which you want to uninstall. This is the sma process as uninstalling any other software in your laptop

I'm not sure about your first question buddy. Coming to second, do u want to change the java version from 17 to 11 or you want to provide both the java versions in your path? If you want to provide both the versions then the answer is you can't. If you want to change your path from 17 to 11 then you need to do this from environment variables by deleting the 17 path and adding the 11 path
