19:00 I'm still watching, but in the 2nd palace you don't need to have a matching persona arcana for the Sun confidant, it's set to always rank up after every meeting regardless of your answers. For some reason you can choose answers that shows more notes, but it doesn't matter, they'll always rank up.

1:26:48 Fun fact! if your damage is high enough (I believe her HP in phase 1 is around 9999 or some arbitrarily high number like that I just know it took forever to deplete it all) you can skip straight to phase two although even with a maxed out Izanagi-no-okami and with fully jazz club boosted teammates with buffs and debuffs its way faster to just do the event but at least damage isnt totally meaningless.

In this type of play through, I would recommend maxing out Takemi as fast as possible, because the Phys and Magic ointments you can buy from her can cheese some hard fights. Like Wakaba as an example becomes a joke and if you only have one other teammate with you in the casino boss fight, they will always be targeted with their weakness, meaning that you once again can easily cheese the fight.

For example, let's compare Persona 4 and Sekiro. Story: Persona 4 has a masterpiece plot with expertly crafted dialogue that's engaging to read throughout, Sekiro literally has nothing of note Gameplay: Persona 4 has really fun mechanics and a well designed RPG battle system and social link system, while Sekiro has pretty clunky and not very fun action gameplay that's probably one of the least interesting action games I've ever played Visual style: Persona 4 has colors and a unique and visually appealing art style, while Sekiro has generic realism with a distinct lack of colors and anything visually engaging. Music: Persona 4 has a beautiful soundtrack with some of the best music ever created, while Sekiro has generic background noise Characters: Persona 4 has a well designed and likeable cast of interesting and deep characters, Sekiro has a bunch of generic characters So overall that's what I would use to justify Sekiro being a bad game (the worst of all FromSoft games, in my opinion), and Persona 4 being a masterpiece. P4 excels in every way, while Sekiro is just pretty bland and generic, lacking the soul that makes a game truly great. Also, before any claims that Sekiro was "too hard for me", I beat every single boss in the game and the only one I found challenging was the optional Owl Father boss fight in the burning room. I was just bored out of my mind playing it, there was nothing for me to become attached to because the game doesn't even try to do anything interesting with the visuals, music, world, or gameplay.

I gave up on finishing this game when halfway through I had to change the difficulty to Merciless to actually get through a boss fight, which was very confusing when you're playing on the easiest difficulty... It was the last straw on top of the anxiety the calendar/confidant system was giving me ^^; Very nice to now be able to experience the story all the way, through this very well made challenge :-)

Nice use of the battle theme of Gladion from Pokemon Sun/Moon/Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon. It's my favorite music from that generation of Pokemon. Also, thanks for taking the time to show us the "bad ending" of accepting Maruki's reality. I refused him when I played this game. Seriously though, is it a common trend for Persona games having a "bad ending" where everyone is happy and living in blissful ignorance? Persona 3 had that too. I never played Persona 4, so, I dunno if or not that it too has an ending where everyone is happy that is considered the bad ending to the game. I don't understand why people hate on Persona 5's Mementos. It's basically Persona 3's Tartarus with extra stuff. I don't see anyone hating on Persona 3's Tartarus and treating it the worst part of the game. If anything, Persona 3's Tartarus is inferior to Mementos

I kinda would love a rebalanced version of P5R, where your team and personas have more weaknesses and enemy had more diverse move sets. And also give the teammates expanded move sets including other elements It would encourage using a wider pool of personas and team composition

it wouldn't really encourage your teammates to be much different. as they are, with just 8 skill slots, they already have many skills competing for a spot, and you already have one teammate for each affinity so... yeah, other magic skills wouldn't encourage you from having them be any different than normal (and same for p3 and 4 too really, you still have at least one party member that can hit each weakness), other than the affinities you also have at least one party member that can do anything, there's one with matarukaja, one with marakukaja, one with masukukaja, and one with each makunda counterpart too, as well as various status effects and healing, so you can't really do too much to change up the party members' skills when they already do everything. the best strategy is still to just have everyone using the same skills that are already good in the normal game. unless you removed the limits on their skills which... well it might just make the game even easier than it already is, even with the different enemy movesets. and speaking of the enemy movesets, that wouldn't really change much what personas you'd be using, maybe in some specific cases it would be optimal to use a certain one, but the best personas would still be the same ones that can operate well in most or any situation, like ones with auto-makajas and magic boosts and amps and stuff like that, and yoshitsune obviously, and even if they have some extra weaknesses you can still just change your persona depending on the enemy and it won't affect you too much. really it's just a lot of the mechanics baked into the game that make it so easy, changing your enemies' and your own stats can only do so much, unless it's something super extreme like this video or you just straight up remove a lot of things. like some confidant skills are just super broken and the third tier persona skills are insane lol, even though you only use them for one palace
