I bought the PFC9 and customized it little by little. Made sure all the parts from different manufactures all played nice with each other. Great firearm!

I had bad experience with my pfc9! Like you a decided on getting it as a complete firearm instead of doing the 80% thing like most P80's are built. The moment i take it to the range I was getting stove pipes. So I changed the ejector for a gen4 and still had problems. Then I replaced the extractor and still had problems. I then changed the slide internals for a oem glock gen3 but still had problems so I gave up 500rds later and took the slide swapped it with my PSA dagger and now it works fine. And the p80 slide works fine in the dagger frame too! So I don't know want the problem is but for some reason the slide and the frame just didn't work together. But my buddies who build 80% one's have no problems and they also couldn't figure out my issues with mine.

Actually I gotta say I seriously appreciate you commenting with your experience. Like I said most of what I have seen negative wise was with the 80% guns. Ive only actually used two of the serialized ones. Id love to know did you try swapping barrels between the Dagger and the P80? Just to narrow it down. Like keep the p80 slide on the p80 but with the barrel from the dagger in it. Then if the same results go back to the p80 barrel but use the guide rod and spring from the dagger. Im actually wondering if it comes down to the feed ramp on the barrel but if that worked out ok on the dagger then something’s weird. I dont know I geek out on that shit hard. If I had that gun in hand I wouldnt be able to sleep till I narrowed it down to exactly what the issue was. Serious though, thanks for chiming in with your experience because it helps me have a wider grasp of what people all over are experiencing with these things

I bought two of these pistols & I really like them but I’ve had a few issues. The original barrel in the full size version had a very short throat & wouldn’t cycle rounds unless the bullets were seated to just below spec so they sent me out a new one which worked perfectly so no big deal & that pistol hasn’t had any problems since. Then I was getting brass thrown in my face almost every time I pulled the trigger with the compact version but luckily I had a Gen 4 ejector laying around that I installed in the Gen 3 housing & it fixed that issue. Later on I had to send that same pistol back to P80 because the back side of the trigger was coming in contact with a hump of plastic on the frame just enough to leave scratches on the back of the trigger & feel gritty. This should have been dremeled down before they sent it out to be sold but while they had it I told them about the brass to the face issue with their Gen 3 ejector so they also installed a new ejector & a newer type of extractor & now that pistol has also been great ever since. While I personally had some issues with these pistols I still recommend them because even though their quality control could be better they still fixed each of these issues for free & answered any questions I had in a timely manner.

I really appreciate the comment. I have to ask though, when did you get these? Like my real question is I wonder if these are newer production units or older ones. Maybe they were made when the company was still trying to get its shit together or maybe it was during this recent time where the government is going hard at them so maybe a few things slipped through quality control. In any event it sounds like they made it right which to me is the most important thing

I must say I really appreciated your review. I purchased one on a whim while building a Palmetto AR9 that took Glock mags and thought well I guess I should have a pistol that takes them as well. I tried every Glock they had at my gun store. I hated them all and then the sales person showed me the PFC9. I'm a 1911 and M9 shooter primarily and have always hated the trigger and grip angle on traditional polymer weapons. The PFC9 felt like a dream and the trigger was actually good. (for a striker) I have put about 500 through it so far and have had maybe 2 failure to ejects. I'm very happy I chose that pistol over the litany of G19 types I could have purchased that day.

I'm not a glock guy. I find them to be very much beyond the times in many aspects, which is why walther pdp is my go to full size and 365xl my CCW. I never intended to buy a PFS9, I had intended to get a Girsan Beretta 92 clone. And the day before I tested a g19 5th Gen my cousin brought out that he just got. And we both like p80 better now. Honestly, the slide serrations are a game changer over glock slides. The trigger is awesome, I like a good wall before the break and it's a short test. Trigger guard is good, I could fit any sized glove in it. The grip stippling, beats buying talon grips like I had 2 for my previous 43 and 30. The dove tail is a great addition as well. But the grip shape is still as blocky and shitty as glock. Grip angle on the p80 works better for me. It's why I hated my Steyr m9 and g43. It got me to prefer black rear sights as well. Fyi, Tagua Leather makes a great g17/19 owb holster that fits these perfectly.

Probably put well over 1000 rounds through my pfc9 complete and it’s been great. Only issue I’ve had is the trigger not fully resetting to the point where the trigger safety doesn’t engage. Factory front sight has also loosened up, probably the amount of rounds I’ve put through it but I’ve shot expensive/ self defense ammo to various grain cheap wholesale ammo and have had only a hand full of malfunctions. Their mags have also ran fine, shitty p mags ran fine, Glock mags obviously ran fine. Overall great firearm, kinda prefer it over my gen 5 17

The only reason why you hear all the complaints about polymer 80 home built 80% kits and not the polymer 80 Factory made pfs9 is only because they are able to do quality control and check every single complete pistol before it leaves the factory. I'm willing to bet that every single pistol has some minor Gunsmithing done to assure everything is working properly before they send it out of there shop since it now Bears their name and their responsibility. You have to remember the only difference that matters between an 80% kit and a PFS9 is that an 80% kit is, has been and always will be, simply gun parts , nothing less and nothing more until completed.... and the other is a fully functioning firearm right out of the box!

People have problems with their 80% Kits because they don’t do enough quality Work when removing the polymer that they are supposed to, nor do they polish their rails. If they aren’t going to spend more time getting it close to a factory finish than they might as well just buy one already completed

@@Fr33man1988 I couldn’t say without actually seeing it. If it isn’t serialized and all the holes are drilled it’s a felony to buy or sell it because it’s a complete firearm. The 80% lowers are legal because they need a couple holes drilled for pins and the channel for the barrel milled out which means they aren’t a full on usable firearm. That being said if you have a complete lower then yes a slide and barrel is all that’s left. Your best bet is to message whatever site you are looking at and ask for more information

Why THE HELL would you buy a P80 if you were going to register it??? 🤦‍♂️💀
@360TacticalSolutions
@360TacticalSolutions 9 ай бұрын
I have to say, this is one of the dumbest questions that ive ever had to answer. The PFC9 is pre built...not an 80% gun...like I said in the video multiple times. That means you go through the same process as any other gun to buy it. You aren't taking an 80% gun and then finishing milling it out and heading down and having it registered...it's already serialized. Now if you are asking why someone would buy a serialized and registered Polymer80, which isn't the question you asked but im going to go out on a limb and answer anyways. Some states make it pretty much impossible to get 80% guns. Some states have passed laws that you have to take your unserialized P80's and AR lowers in and have them serialized. Basically not every state has the option to buy an unserialized 80% gun. Believe it or not not everyone wants a Glock either. As far as Glock clones go Polymer80 has been making them a long time and they make a good quality product. Their design is one of the best ergonomically. Honestly every answer to every question you could have asked is in the video. Either you are trolling or you didn't actually listen to the video
