I'm surprised that this video doesn't have a gazillion views. I've looked at a lot of FPV cockpit setups and yours was so immersive that at one point I got annoyed with the pilot why he didn't just reach over and shut the flapping window closed 😂

Thanks! The osd display was made by Rc-gauges in the UK. Sadly they are out of business and no longer sell these units😥

Given that there is a (printed?) cowling, how do you install the battery?

@@rva1945 the battery goes in via a hatch underneath the plane and is locked in position under and slightly forwards of the "pilot" to get cg right.

@@NerdyFpv Is the hatch behind the landing gear attachment? Why I ask this? Because I want to add printed cowlings to my planes but currently I make the hatches between the firewall and the landing gear but the rigid cowl would interfere. I guess I will have to slide the battery from aft the gear to the nose for propper CG.

@@rva1945 Correct! Wish I could send photos, but you're right! The hatch starts aft of the rear landing gear struts. It's between two bulkheads(?) in the plane. I made a tray for the battery to slide inside, and a simple custom balsa piece to keep it from sliding backwards in flight.
