Finally Patna is getting good housing. This needs to be done in other cities too like Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur etc. Smaller cities can have independent houses also at affordable prices. Good housing in Bihar will encourage Biharis working outside Bihar and even abroad to return to their roots and it will improve the economy of Bihar, because retirees will bring more money to the state.

Not always preferable to all. Smaller cities may have better lifestyle for everyday life. Bihar should have housing complexes close to smaller cities like Hajipur, Muzaffarpur etc, where people can buy independent houses also at affordable price. With availability of good roads one can reach Darbhanga or Patna airports in a short time. This will prevent overcrowding of big cities. Plus if you get good housing in Bihar, you may be able to meet your close relatives and friends easily.

If you are doing job, then job determines the place. For retired persons, Indian cities have very affordable homes and services including healthcare.

I have many of friends working in pune and bengaluru, they themselves are looking to relocate to some tier 2-3 cities by applying for work from home as they say they are left with almost nothing at the end of month since cost of living very high.. And yeah there might be some apartments not in main city but then what purpose will it solve... Btw healthcare infrastructure has improved a lot in tier 2 cities like patna, kanpur, lucknow...most important is that people want to live near their hometown.. State governments need to invest in IT parks in tier 2 cities so that the load from noida, bengaluru is decreased
