100% correct that you said do not do namaskara to South.. But, giving best option as west is incorrect. You took the example of many temples.. yes.. but you cannot compare the temple where the IDOL IS PLACED WITH PRAANA PRATHISHTA .. Fpr house, EAST is the best direction to do the NAMASKARA. Just take the logic of SURYA NAMASKARA and explore why.

Most of your logic are correct and good. But, many are unable to consider and not acceptable.. Example:- Pooja room can be next to toilet ??.. . Even if you think logically, it doesn't looks good or advisable to do the dyaana, meditate or pooja when you have foul smell next to you. If you understand very simple logic, one will never place pooja room next to toilet.
