I am so thankful that you got down the mountain and home safely. 😊 Also glad you enjoyed your hunt out there in the snow, ❄️ and the tree looks beautiful. Nice video!

So cool! We've had a cabin back past where you were, beyond the slate pit, since 1988 and I've yet to travel that road in the snow. Thanks for the ride, lol 😊 Thanks for posting the video! Praising Jesus for your safe return home!

i have the same blind, i know what you mean about the dark, and not seeing your sights. i hung a small flashlight above me and turned it on when i saw the buck coming, it really helped me make a good shot, would not have been able to take the shot without that little flashlight. that was a couple years ago. blinds can really be a game changer.

Good idea but I would probably forget to turn the light on with buck fever setting in 😂. Thanks for watching

Got to keep that powder dry!!! Warm blind is a big help.

Enjoyed your video . I was out yesterday also. Cambria county. Saw a few early morning . No shooting. Snow moved in around ten I was in a hemlock area I hunt. When I left around 4.30 had a good amount of snowfall. Sure was peaceful. Good luck to you

Always loved to wander out on the mountain on a snowy day and find a spot at the foot of a tree backed up to the direction of prevailing wind that day and just sit and watch the snow and listen. Very peaceful time to just think about life and things.

Nothing better than hunting in the snow, bummer about the deer walking right past you. I did the same a few years ago but with a gobbler on the side I didn’t unzip 😂

I agree man it’s awesome to just sit in the absolute silence of the snow. I’m relatively new to blind hunting and learned a valuable lesson 😂😂

Hahaha, great video! Any ride down the mountain in snow is always fun! And 12 yards behind the blind... couldn't stop laughing.. too much! I was out that day too but couldn't decide which location to go to with so I put my top contenders in a hat and sure enough.. pulled the one that didn't have a roof. Shoulda just carried the recurve with me instead. Gotta love those Ameristep products... ugh! Thanks for bringing us along!

Glad you enjoyed it! I didn’t know you shot trad equipment. I’ve always wanted to give that a try

@@PerryCountyWhitetails I (Kris) started shooting traditional last year and have never looked back! It's as fun as flintlock times 10! If you're interested in it, give it a try. My compound is forever retired if that says anything. We did a trad life video over the summer if you want to check it out.
I’ll check that out. I don’t know how I missed that one.

@@PerryCountyWhitetails "ETAR 2023 - Talk about an awesome experience" was the title. If you have some free time in July, take a trip to Morris, PA / Ski Sawmill and check out the Eastern Traditional Archery Rendezvous... it's the Super Bowl of traditional archery.

Nothing like hunting in the snow, my wife and I were hunting at our place in n.michigan one year with a pop up blind and heater too. Sat all day in the falling snow. We got about a foot. Barely got back to the road in a 2wd pt cruiser . Had to back up a 1/4 mile down a 2 track to the road. Still not sure how we made it out...😅🫣 lol.

Glad you didn’t see the deer that passed by at 12 yards….could you imagine what that extra weight in the rumble wagon would’ve done on the drive out! 😂

Looks like you had fun. That's all that matters. But I will be honest with you. I'm 67 years old. It's been at least 30 years since I've hunted without a roof over my head. Yes, a roof and a body heater, it's mandatory.

That’s great man. I really like tree stand hunting. But the late season is brutal in a stand. Thanks for watching 👍

I'm 69 and I love going out to my treestand and sitting in the snow and watching the deer show up in the snow and you can see how many deer there are and how the bucks stand out differently from the does and I still love touching the trigger and watching the deer as it runs till it dies, then you climb down and go find your deer and take it home to your family for food for the whole winter, great video

You should have brought a carpet for the whole floor and patched the hole in the top, and I would have brought a sleeping bag for heat, and it is going to get really cold, and I hope you get a buck for your adventure on the mountain, so hope you don't freeze
