I was shocked when Ranjith was not part of directors round table,But felt happy Vetrimaran spoke about Ranjith.Ranjith Art was always overshadowed by caste identity,so even interviewer were skipping him and some people compared him with Darupati Director.Felt so bad for oppressing a real Artist.Good to see him winning.People who are blaming him for Kabali or Kaala please remember Rajini in both these movies was a realist hero not like other movie,Need lot of courage to convince Rajini the superstar to do these roles.Many scenes in both the movies were best of Rajinis acting and dialogue delivery.

My grandfather was a teacher during emergency period in 1975. He was also a party member Of DMK. He watched the movie and said he loved it. At that time in Madras every family have atleast one DMK supporter. Because people can easily reach DMK party at that time to get a job in Harbour or for any help. Thank you Ranjith for recreating 1970s. Thanks for the movie.

All his thought process is seperating Dalits from other tamil communities to gain profit in politics. This movie is based on north Chennai's boxing clubs, But pa. Ranjith, unnecessarily shoved caste abuse scenes in this movie, whereas reality was different. When real sarpatta boxers are interviewed, they clearly said caste issues never happened between us, we were like brothers and its pure boxing. But pa. Ranjith changes history and creating enmity between Tamil castes.

When rangan vathiyar apologize's and accepts his fault in recognizing kabilan's drive....kabilan's arc was already complete. The climax sequence was just an icing on the cake.

This Movie, has taken Tamil cinema to a global recognition. My neighbor a 80 year old DMK cader asked me to show SARPATTA ... we watched the movie together (me +neighbor+ his son also a dmk cader) he literally cried out loud and huged me and said...me and my party members and our leader kalingar suffered lot at that period. Then he gifted me a book called nenjukku neethi...I totally enjoyed the company of that old man while watching the film ...thank you ranjith
