For example Compressor connect to 3/2 way solenoid valve then connect to SINGLE ACTING CYLINDER . And the other side you have Electrical connection 24V and 0V, pushbutton, solenoid valve named K1. This video teaches hows to connect the limit switch and pilots lamps in electro pneumatic system.From your video the green one only was light it up because the cylinder was hitting the limit switch one and for that moment it press the extend. So, the first thing that I learned is the K1 and K2, both device has two wires which is the Red wire: Positive and Black wire: Negative K1 means to extend and K2 means to retract. I also learned about the LS1 and LS2 function, first is LS1 (double acting)for retraction, the breaker will start the LS1 if they close this is for the lamp of LS1 to hit and switch while the LS2, switch the lamp and it will light.. it means the cylinder activate to extend. Awesome!🤙 In the 5/2 way valve from the air compressor we will connect it to the solenoid valve and from the valve we will connect it to the solenoid valve and from the valve we will connect the wires to the double acting cylinders. After it is connected we can now successfuly control the retraction and extension. And of course we will be adding the limit switch.. the limit switch serves as the indicator if the piston cylinder is in retract or in extend form. job well done!

I definitely understand the whole discussion regarding with this new presentation. Especially, the root word of the Electo-pneumatic system, I learned on how to add limit switch and indicator lights also, and how the whole system run. For your challenge on last diagram in this presentation sir. I think it just need to change the push button from make switch to break switch. Break switch is a normally closed push button. Meaning, when you click the start button, there is already a connection with the line in the whole system which resulting of the piston into extend position inside the cylinder even if nothing has been pressed a switch yet. Electro pneumatic system it is pneumatic circuits that can be controlled by electric circuits. Solenoid valves perform the same function as normal pneumatic valves. I also learned the basic control using 5/2 way and 3/2 way solenoid valves.

According to what I have observe in this video it easily to know the concept of diagram, the control circuit and power circuit. The control circuit diagram basically they have a push button that are normally open, if we start the breaker the solenoid will not activate but it is close, the solenoid will open just like in the electro 3 that we have discuss before. In the power circuit control it easy to connect them, the first thing is, we need to connect the compressor into 5/2 that the pressurized air will flow coming from the compressor and it's flow out then will enter into double acting cylinder, that the position is extend or retract. For the retraction process of double acting cylinders is when you switch the breaker, the pilot lamp of LS1 will lights on. And for Extension process of double acting cylinder is when you push the bottom for extension is the LS2 pilot lamp will lights on. For single acting cylinder is using only one pilot lamp because the acting of cylinder is only one either extension or retraction.

Thank you for briefly explaining sir, Since from the beginning of series lecture video up to this. I gained knowledge about how to connect the limit switch and pilot lamps in electro-pneumatic system. It divided into two circuit, the control and power circuit. In control circuit, it has electrical connection and in power circuit, it has pneumatic system. I have learned also what solenoid we will used by knowing the solenoid in actual we can see through the diagram and based on the diagram on it should be match to our system or circuit that we will use to stimulate. Our goal is to extend and retract the cylinder, we want to control using the electrical push button. Firstly, we must name each solenoid valve, the positive and negative wire then connect to control circuit. In ship they used 24 V and it connected to PLC. Either 5/2 way solenoid valve( Double acting cylinder) or 3/2 way solenoid valve (Single acting cylinder) we can still connect the limit switch and pilot lamp into our electro-pneumatic system. I have learned in this video, based on the diagram shown in the video our goal is to extend and retract and we can control extend and retract of the cylinder by using electrical push button. First thing is we need to label our solenoid valve as K1 and the other one is K2. K1 and K2 has 2 wires the red ( positive) and black is ( negative) that wires are going to connect to the control system. Normally most of the ships used 24V because it going to connect to the PLC and the output of PLC is 24V. Then we need a push button and solenoid valve. Our push button is normally open meaning the moment we start our breaker the solenoid will not be activated. We need to match the solenoid by putting a label the K1 and K2. And also our push button we put a label K1 as for extend and K2 is for retract. Thankyou sir !

Good day sir! Finally, I see a basic example of the application of all the series lecture into one integrated electro-pneumatic system. In this video lecture I understand that the electronics or the control circuit drives only the eletronically operated solenoid valve which dictates the activation of extension and retraction of the cylinder. And in the video I learned that we can put pilot lamps on the control circuit so that we can see or indicates that our system is fully functional and operates in a way we want. We will only just put a limit switch on the power circuit (Actuator) so that when the cylinder piston hits the limit switches we can turn the pilot lamps. Also, pneumatic system is an easy to connect or install since we are only connecting hose connection for the supply of pressurized air in the system. Now I understand that working in ships we need to use 24V to operate the Control circuit so that we can connect it to a Programable Logic Controller (PLC). Thank you for this another video discussion sir. In this lecture, how to connect limit switch and pilot lamp in electro-pneumatic system. In the circuit using 5/2 way valve have have 2 push button switch. First switch is used to extend the cylinder into the LS1. And second switch is used to retract the cylinder into the initial position which is LS1. When the cylinder is in initial position, it hits the LS1 which means it is activated so that in our control circuit the LS1 is closed. For the moment we start our circuit breaker our pilot lamp will light up it is because our switch is closed. If both switch are normally open, the piston position is in 50% between LS1 and LS2 in our power circuit. On the other hand, in the circuit using 3/2 way valve it looks like the same working principle as 5/2 way valve but it has only limit switch, indicator light and push button switch where you can click used to extend the cylinder to hit the LS1 to light up the lamp and used to retract the cylinder to return in the initial position.

As I understand the main purpose of putting a limit switch and pilot lamp is to indicate that the current already pass through, When the limit switch detect that the current will pass, the pilot lamp will be turn on therefore the pilot lamp will be energized and it will goes to the last receiver called pneumatic cylinders. Tapping of this two electric devices can be easily by simply following what is the instruction, also this two electrical devices can be the second option to determined the current transmitted or not. In addition, this two electrical devices can be use both 5/2way, 3/2 way valve. this video can be the guide having a lab manual activity, It can be helpful to us. I hope it will be happen in reality, I will wait for the time for this activity.

In this video, it gives me new ideas and help me to understand on how the limit switch and pilot lamps is connected to the actuators and it's operation. It also determine on how it is going to work, the process, the components of the system, etc. For me, the most striking thing is that in order to give some indication to the both switch and lamps they must have label to work on.

Electro-Pneumatic system this system is have controller to run the system which is electronic system by the use of push buttons and also by connecting the solenoid valve and cylinder between Pneumatic and Electronic system and also by using limit switch as the main reason that we can extend and retract this by hitting the desired of limit switch. Through This System it also light up indicator lamp by incorporating the limit switch and pilot lamps by connecting the switch in Double or single acting cylinder so when the cylinder hit the limit switch it light up the indicator lamp. I've learned in this video the switch and the pilot lamp. In my understanding the indicator lamp is to know visually if there is a flow of electricity. If there is indicator lamp you can identify which limit switch is connected.

19:17 THE CHALLENGE My own strategy to maintain the extension of the piston in the cylinder is to control the return air. The system/circuit used a 3 OVER 2 WAY VALVE, basically there are three ports, one port from D.C.V to the cyclinder, one port for the entry of pressurized air coming from the compressor and another port for return air. In order to maintain the extension of the piston in the cylinder, i will connect a hose in the port of return air and attached a electronic push button air flow control valve to control the return air and also the retraction of the piston. The spring cannot retract the piston because there are still air in the cylinder that has been control by the valve, therefore the piston will remain extend until you will activate the push button to release the trap air.

In this lecture, I learned about the connection of the electronic and pneumatic switches and valves that we commonly see in malls and vehicles. By connecting the switch to the relay that is connected directly to the solenoid valve the you can achieve the 2 states( Extraction and Retraction) if the switch or button will be pushed. The new thing that I learned about these series lecture is the pilot light and its significant to current flowing or enegized.
