in this vlog, i got some friends of mine to react to the music video of "paano kung naging tayo?", (which is my newest self-penned tagalog single. this video was definitely one of the most special ones, if not my MOST special one to date since it was my directorial debut!)

I was expecting for someone to dissect the meaning behind the contrast in the color of the different scenes but anyhoo, here's my take. In this music video, Jayda is thinking about the what ifs. The colored scenes are, ironically, the scenes where Jayda is imagining what could have been with Rhys. The black and white scenes where only Jayda can be seen is her reality. She is in pain, she is full of regret, and although it is reality, she feels sorrowful, hence the use of the black and white colors. I feel like she wants to convey the feeling that her imagination of "what could be" is better than the reality by using colors and she has done a really great job with that. I'm a new fan, so I can't wait what other amazing stuff she's gonna do next 💖
