I really enjoyed this documentary, thank you. I know very little of Chilean politics, but I do know how horrible was Pinochet.

Pinochet: Aided and abetted by the USA/CIA. Also very close ties with the UK Tory government of Margaret Thatcher.

Was Pablo Neruda's pseudonym based on the Sanskrit name Nirodha?

If socialism had prevailed, Chile would be nothing economically, something akin to Peru. Neruda wasted his talent on a harmful ideology, and therefore deserved to have his heart broken in the end.

What do you mean to say ....like some of his work? Don't you feel it as it becomes so vivid and palpable as emotional trauma -good or bad- shows you what is to live a life? About the poet himself, poetry go to poet as bread go to flour. And viceversa.
