ah awesome first time ive seen this, i was there in the pissin rain just outside the tent watchin the big screen... u cudnt get in there, the whole tent was rammed... was an unbelievable gig, so glad i found this! my fave memory of that leeds fest... that an wolfmother actually! x

I'm sorry to disappoint you, "friend", but this was Cher's single. In the same year (1966), Nancy Sinatra covered it. Furthermore, the song wasn't written by herself, but by Sonny Bono, does that explain why it seemed so unlikely to you?
